~¤» CLAN UPDATES - 2010/2011

That's right! The much anticipated clan updates are here!
As we voyage into a new year, a new decade I felt it would be appropriate to change and rethink a few features about the clan.
I personally hope all of these updates will only further support and extend the clan's borders. 2010 was quite an exciting year, to put it simply. We saw many great changes and events - both in the clan and the wider world of RuneScape. To name a few - the great Clan Fest, RuneFest, the Jagex Clan Cup 2010, Sixth Realm's Anniversary, the re-modelling of the forums...
And it's also been quite an interesting start to 2011 - especially with RuneScape's 10th Anniversary celebrations going on. What's more, this year we should be expecting a whole range of clan changes for all of RuneScape.
While I could go on, I think it would only be fair to move onto what everyone has been waiting for.
So, what exactly has changed - what is new, what is different? Well, let me try and sum it all up for you right here...

» In-game Features

¤ Clan Chat
The biggest change of all in terms of our in-game 'home'.
I hope you all agree when I say that the 'Vivek333' chat has been a good home for us over the past few years and worked well.
However, I felt that it would only be fair to dedicate a chat solely to the purposes and requirements of Sixth Realm.
Therefore, with the event we had this weekend, I think it is time to formally say "good bye" to our long time chat. Over the last few weeks, myself and a few others have been hurriedly getting all the things ready for the move to our new home.
The CC to join will be: S Realm Chat
This is now fully open and ready for use. There will be a redirection message put up on the old CC during this period of time.
I hope you will all like our new chat, and I hope to see you guys there next time I log in.

» Clan Members
This is something that I try and focus on if at all possible, and encourage the Clan Council to do so as well.
Of course, the members - me, you, us - is what makes the clan. I've changed certain aspects of the clan (which you'll find by reading through the threads) to further support existing and new members.
Also, there have been some changes in terms of ranks.
I love rewarding those that have put a lot of effort in, so I didn't want to hold back when it came to promotions.
The majority of the active members of the clan would have had some form of a rank change.
I will leave those as a surprise for you - check out the members list on page 1.
Also, there have been some changes in the Clan Council.
Nivek, Xz Xero Zx, The Hamsteak and PrinceofPi - all being currently engaged in real life matters - will be standing down from the main body of the Council. They will act more as the "stand in" Council.
With the current Council, there have also been a few changes.
Both Soulja & Josox will now be taking up their roles as Captains (congrats!!) in the clan.
Also, I'd like to introduce two newcomers to the Council - who I believe have really deserved it.
Both Jayesh & English Jam are promoted to Lieutenants. Welcome to the Clan Council!!
Many of us seem to be extremely busy with real life commitments, which are acceptable. I am currently looking for more members to take on Council roles and even leadership ones.
On another note, I would also like to welcome the new Recruits to the clan. I think you have already met most of them, so a formal congratulations to you all!!
Also, Xero wishes his kind regards to the clan and apologises that he cannot be active right now.

Members that have been highly inactive have been noted and further actions may be taken at a later stage.

¤ Sixth Realm Inc.
Well, this was mostly set up after many suggestions from members at the time and we mostly used it for communication purposes and to extend our borders back then.
Now that the forums have become a lot more accessible, we have been sticking to them for delivering clan messages.
I have always thought it would also be fun to release a few videos on there as we went along.
While I have already updated some general things there, I am looking into it.
More to follow.
As for other external features - thanks to Jagex, we've had quite a few of our events posted on their various social networking sites, which area a great help.
I'll look into what we can do more.

Well, that's the main chunks of the updates dealt with in brief forms.
Please do take a look and explore all the various updates.
As I said, every single post on our clan threads have been updated in one way or another. Please take a look.
This also includes our ties with other groups and the various communities we take part in.

I truly hope the updates are to everyone's liking, and I welcome any feedback you might have.
Some of these updates were released a few weeks beforehand (to note), and the sharp eyed among us may have already spotted them.
But more follow up details will come shortly explaining a few changes.
Well, I suppose that's it for the main lot! Quite relieved to have got it all out. I will soon be going around to each thread individually to highlight the updates.
If you see members in-game etc. that have not yet seen these posts, please inform them.
