During our meeting today we had a lively discussion, I want to thank everyone who gave input and hopefully these changes will make the fc improve in its function


our ranking system is fine, however the change in this is lower ranks before krank will be easier to achieve, to be krank will become more into trust and continual effort but the lower ranks will require less effort

1. overall contribution in the chat will be rewarded a lot more than it has in the past, at months end any contribution seen will be deserving of an add. any rank or non rank can help with this by mentioning who they have seen as helpful

2. titles will be renewed

3. There will now be an upkeep requirement to keep your rank: 10 hours/month for stars, 5 hours/month for stripes, and 1 hour a month for smiles

you as well can split 20 hours in one month to two months, if you don't upkeep you will move down one rank.

at the end of the month I will highlight who missed upkeep and the community will vote to save the rank for the person (few exceptions will be made)

4. smiles will no longer have the rank conflict, they are essentially people we add so they can join the fc when its full, the current active smiles will all be ranked up to 1 stripe so they can continue rank conflicting. If you are active mention it to me or any rank and we will rank you up I bought this baby, straight cash

For the PCing titles, I want to open a discussion on what we want to be competing for. I'm trying to automate as many of these as possible to save someone from the level of work that Gen had to endure before his trip.

As before, unchanged.

Based on an old one, changed slightly.

New suggested.


PCer of the month: most hours in the month, self explanatory.
Rookie o/t/m: voted, recruit highest

Doubler: twice the hours of previous month with a minimum of 10 for both.

Previously only the latter month had to be over 10.
Runner up: 3 months of being in top 3 but never first

A true pcer: 3 consecutive months of 30+ hours

Changed from 25
Veteran: 6 consecutive months of 20+ hours

Change from 10
Legend: 12 consecutive months of 10+ hours

Previous two changed to allow for this.
It's a start: 3 consecutive months of PCing but all under 5 hours.

Welcome back: PC 10+ hours after 3 or more months off

Generally Hard: beat Gen 3 months in a row

Spartan: 300 hrs total in the last 12 months to date. (THIS. IS. PCING.)


The exact numbers of these can easily be changed if so wished.

Removed from the old list:
Socialiser - We never track split hours so this would be up to whoever counts on that particular month. I felt it was easier to just remove it.
Companion King - Also never tracked, but this one just seemed pointless.
Recordbeater - If you beat a record, you make it to the hall of fame. This title seemed redundant and inferior.

I would appreciate any comments or feedback, as well as suggestions for new titles to add.

Sorry about that guys, didn't know about the rank meeting lol + was at work so couldn't have made it either way.

I'm a fan of these changes though, I've always been an advocate of changing rank up/down policy. However, I think there needs to be a slight adjustment, it shouldn't be strictly pc'ing. While it is the best way to contribute to fc, look at someone like geno who reports a lot of his transactions. Without him, a lot of pcs would be old and outdated but he keeps many updated. I don't think he pc's 5 hours/month but he should definitely stay k-rank, maybe even promoted.
Again, this might just fall under the 'exception" thing you were talking about, so no real complaints here. Good job guys. Also 'mylksnake' or something like that has pc'ed 20 hours i think or something and deserves smiley rank Join Efficiency Experts !

well the upkeep isn't much and it provides us with a stream of pcers that will make the fc more active again. If people did care for their ranks they will find a way to keep them. Having them idle and not help out doesn't do us any good I bought this baby, straight cash
