Hello everyone,
It saddens me to write this, but firstly I would like to apologize to Hulky and whoever else the hacker kicked in the fc. I haven't been on rs in for over 1.5 months until this morning to find out my account has been compromised. The hacker disabled google authenticator from my hotmail and deleted my bank pin. I had the same password for this account as my email, which I now just remember I haven't changed in years. The major flaw I just realize is that bank pins are deletable. The hacker didn't need to brute force their way into my bank, they just simply selected the option to delete my pin which I had set to a maximum of 7 days before it would disable. I completely forgot about this, reason being I didn't bother logging in. Lost 27b+ worth of spirit shards and my 500m empty vial collection.
I didn't think I would be a target for hackers but apparently the hacker knew I left and broke through my account when I was away. It was my fault for not transferring my wealth to an alt or checking on the account once a week. Money signaled a red flag when he said a rank was kicking people, and I was going to check my account but then completely forgot because of midterms.
@Money I found it peculiar when you said a rank was kicking other people, but didn't realize it was coming my account until now. Yesterday I thought my hangout was broken when I couldn't find the star rank chat, but then I realized I was kicked.
I probably won't come back to rs now seeing I don't have enough for a bond and I'm not going to merch with 10m. That and tbh I've been having a fun time IRL. It's probably best if you left me on the ignore list @Money, I wouldn't be surprised if they found out my new password. Once again, I apologize for any disruption my account has caused and I wish the fc good luck and hope it has a successful, prosperous future!
