People are way too easily fooled by massive texts.
So what did MMG's message really say, if sharply analyzed?
Paragraph no:
1. "this is how we plan to help fund the future development, and to not undermine the game"
2. "this is an old game, we are careful with it"
3. "Sof and Solo have both been carefully concidered before implemented. We are aware of the danger and the community worries about microtransactions."
4. "we will avoid the danger but we also need these money to secure the future development of the game."
5. "we care deeply about the game, even to the point were we put the values of the game and it's wellbeing in first place - the financials comes second."
6. "Also, we spend tons of money on anti-botting actions, way more than other game studios ((therefor we are the best!))".
7. "We are reinvesting and growing".
8." From this week and next few weeks, we will make an extra effort to clean the game from bots: New anti-bot and security software will be launched."
9. "Our goal is to become the world's largest freebrowser game. We appreciate you as a loyal gamer. Any changes we make to the game are for the sake of the game's longterm survival.
10-11. Suck up sections, were the gamers are being smooth-talked, and some future updates candy thrown out - reasons why we should still pay to play.

This is basically what he/they are saying and it is all old news.
The overall message is that they care about the game, they do what they think they have to do for the game survival. They still wan'* to be number 1 and they still work on bots.
Anything we haven't heard before??

I swear RS players just expect everyone to be perfect. Would you have been fine if they hadn't released that?
When you look for the bad in something, you're most likely to find it, no matter what it is.
This kinda reminds me of when my mom looks at my report card. She sees 5 As and then a B. She completely ignores the 5 As and jumps straight to the B and interrogates me as to why that isn't an A. I mean... really? Appreciate something for once.

I'll appreciate a newspost once it's not filled with 90% lies and propaganda/empty statements. Tbh, I could go on but it's not worth it anymore to worry about whether or not they listen 'cos they simply don't. (Btw, yes I would've been less worked up if they hadn't released that.)
Indeed, focus on the good stuff: seen the recent BTS video about the GWD rework? Looks awesome!

Buff, you asked my thoughts on the MMG statement. I'll repost them for you:

MMG seems to think that, by offering a probability system of selling gold and XP which ultimately generates a reliable amount of both over a large enough number of uses instead of what he refers to as a "direct" sale, that he has preserved the values that Jagex has upheld for the previous ten years.
If that were true, I'd still be a paying member. Just because you don't call it direct doesn't change the fact that it is. And while you may think you're controlling the effects of your microtransactions on the game, they still ruin it for players like myself.
I've seen one bit of good news recently, and that was the potential for reviving f2p highscores - but I'll believe that one when I see it.
Everything else is negative - the SoF, the SGS, the ingame membership promotions... all are the opposite of what I want to see in this game.
I suppose there's some irony in the fact that, if Jagex hadn't started all of this ********, they'd have had my membership payment for August and September, anyway."

I'm fine either way, I'm even a tad amused. They keep saying the same old stuff over and over again, presenting as if they are saying something new each time. Like I said, people are way too easily fooled by massive texts and formulations, lol.
