I agree with being a bit more relaxed on certain rules, particularly when you do not recognize the name and it may be a new FC user.

With that said, I believe this rule should be reverted to how it was before:

Trading Within the FC:

•We DO NOT allow any trading in the FC at all. Players that attempt to trade in the FC should first be given a warning, and then removed from the FC if they continue their trade attempts.
•If a player breaks this rule, you may not ask for them to “add you*.


A player saying "Buying Santa" followed by "wc" should still warrant an instant kick. If you remember back to around 2 years ago when we created that rule, the number of fake wrong chats had grown to an extreme and was happening numerous times daily. Since then, through our strict enforcement of this rule, the number of wrong chats is at a minimum. I really wouldn't want to see this become a problem again. And if it is a legitimate wrong chat, 1 hour is really not too long to wait to use the FC again. It would obviously never be something that one would be banned/kicked on sight for (unless it became a very frequent occurrence).

I only bring this up because it was mentioned in the CC, and I wanted to clarify the rule.

Honestly if they wait 10-15 minutes, sure, but the problem is people are waiting less than a minute between asks. People need to understand that the world doesn't wait at their hands and feet and that pcers can/do play the game too. DC's happen I get that. But people should check the forums anyway if they are THAT desperate for a pc. I notice that you and other pcers typically update the forum thread as updates come in, so "outdated" forums are typically not an issue when there are pcers on.

You flame baited another admin, which lead to your removal from the discord channel and subsequently the FC and CC when you continued to press the matter. It doesn't matter how much you contribute to the FC. No one's above the rules - not a non-rank, not a captain, not an admin, not even the owner.

Blatant disregard of the rules can and will lead to a loss of rank and priviliges of the FC.

I'd advise you not to press your luck.

Well... the owner sets the rules, so I suppose you could say that it would be impossible for the owner to be "above" or "below" the rules, but your point still stands. :P

Also, Jagex and Hyles are above the rules, but that's just logistics.

On a serious note though, this has been an ongoing concern and is not the result of one wrong action. Bond's decision was correct as his decision reflects the rules that have been enforced by the FC since inception; those being that disruptive behavior will result in revocation of the ability to use the FC. As a rank, you knew the rules and chose to blatantly disregard them, which makes it all the worse.

Fortunately, people learn more from a mistake than by doing everything correct, so use this as a learning opportunity. Aptly stated in The Godfather, "It's not personal, Sonny. It's strictly business."
