Do you prefer the 'ting' of a pick over the slash of a sword? Maybe you like to relax with a fishing rod, instead of risk your life against a Dragon's fire? Perhaps chopping into a morning fresh log is better then the bottom of a musky cave? The Architects are the premier skilling sub-clan of the Kingdom of Varrock . The best of the best when it comes to knowing your way around a tool. We put our skills to work on the ultimate creation of mastery and expertise.

The Architects are the loyal and hardworking skillers that form and outline the Kingdom's Citadel. It is our job to bring in the resources and define the outcome of the largest physical representation of what is the Kingdom of Varrock.

We have positions for any and all citizens of the Kingdom, from the diligent skiller to the loyal warrior, anyone willing to share in the delight of crafting the very citadel itself is welcome within the Architects. Browse our message boards and gathering centre within the private forums today, and see how you can help create a Kingdom, with results you can actually see and feel.

Artistic, authentic, admirable - Architects

So it has not gone unnoticed that in two other Gielinor dimensions, familiar to us as world 60 and world 103, have had a surge in barbar- I mean POC, activity. This, however, appears most notable in dimension 103, with a plethora of POCs claiming territory for themselves and, not just that, they have resorted to measures that we here on the civilised dimension of 83 have long since gone past. Warring for it. Yes, I know, how absolutely vile and disgusting! Surely we have to bring justice to these folks either through forcing them into submission or mercilessly executing them one by one...Maybe...Perhaps that’s just me getting carried away again.

But to cut to the chase, what this seems to show is that, contrary to popular belief the last few years, the POC community still very much has a place in Gielinor, and that some of the old tenets of POCs are not forgotten. Diplomacy, territorial holdings and warring, with some even retaining the age-old POC tradition of role-play.

So why has it developed on worlds 60 and 103, but not resurfaced on world 83, the home of the oldest POC in existence, our very own Kingdom of Varrock? Does it relate to attitudes? Activity? Interest? Do clans have monopolies? Did wars like the coalition wars provide too many scarring memories for folks to dare initiate such practices again here? Well, the TVT will be seeking to find out. Not this issue, however, but the next one, as we go deep inside the resurgent POC community to discover just why it’s resurfacing, what is off-putting about a resurgence on world 83, and whether it would be wise or not to latch onto this new, seemingly growing community. Yes, for those of you that know of it, it will be a bit like Panorama.

As of the next issue, the once famed ‘anonymous quotes' section will be making a return. You may, via PMing myself, submit an anonymous quote in the strictest confidence your identity will not be revealed. That said, there are some ground rules. No outright abuse of people will be permitted, and as such, will not be submitted. No bitching about other people, as this is going to seek to be a faaaaiiiiirrrrrlllllyyyyyy respectable TVT, not some bitchy magazine about who did what and who’s seeing who and that kind of thing. Keep it relatively moderated as bad language will not be included within said quotes. Oh yes, I also reserve the right not to publish any submitted anonymous quotes.

====

So with groundwork very much being at the core of this edition, I suppose it also makes sense to put a calling card out there for anyone who may have an idea for a story, a story of their own to submit, or an advertisement of their own to submit. You have something you think ought to be featured? Let me know and I’ll have a look!

====

With that, I think it’s now time to bring Issue #1 of the TVT’s glorious return to an end. Whilst I will apologise for the lack of overall content in this edition, the key ideas for this issue are to get the TVT going again, gauge interest in the TVT, and get it out there for people to then submit ideas of their own and generally get involved with the TVT process. That said, I hope to be able to do a number of investigative journalist pieces throughout my time as Editor, and hopefully, I’ll last somewhat longer as Editor than I and others have in the past.

For anyone who has devoted their time to reading this issue, I thank you, and I hope it was well worth it!
