If someone still doesn't understand you're supposed to use a unique password for RuneScape, they're not very bright. Most sites can be hijacked, that's why you use a different email & password.

There are a lot of free forums and website hosts, the only downside is usually a shitty url. But it's still better than RS clan forums. You don't have to pay, and really 4$/month for an entire clan isn't much. TeamSpeak is far more expensive.

That hasn't happened in years, and if they don't do it properly with clan forums nobody will use it and it will be a waste of time. Just look at the Fist of Guthix "improvements", which just made it worse. They don't have the resources for these kind of updates, nor understand how to communicate with players to create the best quality updates.

2 years isn't that long compared to other things in RS. But that says more about the state of RS. They've created so much short-life content, it's not possible to update things every 2 years. Ofcourse they don't even update main parts of the game (like PvP) very often either.

4€ isnt much but imagine if this feature was a runemetrics (or future thing) feature.
In my language there is a saying: They have smashed the ball wrong, which means they could have made gains from this but they didn't because they arent quick thinking enough.

and about other content not getting attention: well lots of conents need attention but we need to start somewhere.
And since clans (and friend chats) are the majority of the players that keeps content alive. they should start from here.

Start with the core of the problem.

It would be more likely they would charge for extra forum features though. Unfortunately Jagex are part of the current gaming industry problem now of charging for extras at any given opportunity.

imagine this:

people are able to donate months of superior clan features (special trackers for clans, improved forums...) for 1 bond (and/or 5€)/month.

Why is this good?
#1: clan has a bigger arsenal to organise stuff
#2: No reason to go off-site
#3: more trafic to the main site (adds profit)
#4: More secure than using off-sites
#5: $¥£€ for jagex

and its easy to gather the money for this as a clan :)
