The plan for Jagex is to make the Clan Avatar a cosmetic override for your familiar. When the Avatar cosmetic override is active, you will gain your 3-5% XP boost.

Therefore, you wouldn't ever need anyone else to summon an Avatar; you can just override your own.


Are you sure that is correct? I got the impression that interacting with the rune stone one a week would be the only thing you needed to do, and that the Avatar would merely be cosmetic.

That's the impression I got. It wouldn't actually make a difference either way though really.

I do believe changes are needed in the clan avatar system. I like the thought that the people who visit the citadel and the ones that contribute to upkeep get more of a bonus than the people that just log in and never visit.

I believe having to go to citadel and get the avatar is a small price to pay to keep it more communal. I think it is very fair that the person holding the avatar and having to give up their own summoned creature or pet get a little more reward.

Although our clan primarily uses the xp bonus we do use the resource gathering one at the citadel. And speaking for all clans who use any buff other than xp gain, they should stay.

I like the idea that we can gain something from anagoric ort besides the payment of avatar that OP suggested, although doing away with them altogether is what Mol Moltar suggests.

I am very glad that clans and clan citadels are getting some attention this year. Let us hope that this is not the only Love we get the whole year.

No matter what happens we will all learn to adjust. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.
