Reset is more technically difficult, as I understand it without a Mod Maz present to correct me, than a double amount, but there are serious design considerations for both.


There are design considerations yes but its both the same outcome/thing/result. Just a different approach. Double cap either way.


While player facing there might be a similar result that is not the case backstage, so to speak. Also it is not the same result as the currently implemented Citadel booster that does not impact those design considerations and functions at all.


No ofc it isnt the same as the bank boosters but thats already out and presumably wasnt difficult to achieve from a technical stand point so to me from a technical it looks like its just as easy to double our max cap like it was just as easy to allow us to gain 2x resources.

As fore mentioned cap reset was said to be difficult technically to do then doubling our max cap has the same results but seems more of a possibility.


However both solutions require the Design work - I have already discussed this this week as a potential solution/change with Mod Moltare and he is happy to look at it when he has the time from a design perspective.

Yes - risk vs reward, XP rates, effect on citadel requirements, etc. All the stuff that haunts the nightmares of Mod Moltare and Mod Timbo :)

We did not say we would not do it - on the suggestion thread on which it was originally posted we said we would add it to the potential list but it needed a design overview and then we would to poll it to CLF. But the way I see it now is the list you speak of is ever changing. Today the priority is Invention, a few months ago it was Elf City, before that (insert whatever the current popular content was at the time). Clan updates don't seem to ever move up the list.

It would be easier to accept if we were just told it didn't make financial sense for changes to be made to the clan system and we simply need to work with what we have. Reading that it can't be done because Jagex can't easily work with their own code to make changes and improvements frankly looks embarrassing for the company tbh.

I don't think we are asking for everything under the sun, we only want things to happen when we are told they are going to happen they way they were supposed to happen. Or maybe, some sort of statement from Jagex saying that we will get at least 1 desired update a year.

Jagex are obviously aware that clan leaders would like some clan updates. We've listed many specific things we'd like to see added to the game here, as well as on Runelabs and social media. The ball is in Jagex's court now as to what they deem worthwhile to develop.
