I do not get on these forums a lot.. I have a life and besides that a thriving clan to run, so really I only get here when there is an issue, since I actually have.. or had.. hope that it might help.

A wile ago i noticed I suddenly could not place my clanvex inside the attic in Edgevile that we have used as our meeting place for years anymore, I figured it was a glitch, but when it was not fixed I posted about it here.
Of course I understand banning vexes at spots where they interfere with the game, but this is some empty unused room..

Recently I had an other issue, we started using our noticeboard.. and found out the date was wrong for most clanmates. I am sure I do not have to explain this to you, since I found out quickly on this forums that this problem has existed since the noticeboard was introduced..
But I didn't know that yet, so I made a post and also wile I was on anyway bumped my old thread and low and behold I got some useful reactions.. untill someone, as in you, Mod Matthe felt the need to close it because it was ' gravebumped' ???

I did not know the term, but assume it stems form this thread having been old .. and me bumping it.
Wile rules matter, results and decency matter more.. and I do not think that is a decent way to deal with a legit problem, the least you could have done was address the issue.. and then close it., you were already looking at it.. how much trouble is it to tell us if this vex problem is a glitch or by design and explain it..
This is not how I treat my pupils at school, or my clanmates.. I expect them to behave themselves and as such set a good example.

So.. with a vital issue seemingly not being dealt with for years, and an admittedly smaller issue being ignored and locked.. I can not help myself but think: what the h.. Mod Matthe?

Now lets see if this gets closed also instead of dealing with the issues like adults.

If a thread hasn't been posted on in quite a long time, then it's better to start a new discussion in an entirely new thread, not bump an old and possibly obsolete thread back to the top of the forums. This rule applies to all of RSOF, not just CLF .

From what I understand, the "attic" you're referring to is used by one or more Warbands groups, and this change may have been done to prevent clans from trying to "dominate" that spot.

Does it? I can't find it in the forum rules.

Gravebumping is only "gravebumping" if it's a bump for the sake of a bump - without an additional input to discussion.

Locking threads and demanding a new one is made in its place spreads valuable information across multiple threads - when it would be better, and more convenient, all contained in the same thread. As someone who uses the forums often, on multiple websites, I find it particularly annoying when information on one topic is scattered through multiple threads - when it could have all been contained within one, conveniently, making my search easier.

Finally, I find it particularly jarring that no actual response was made towards the issue - which is that the banning of vexillia and avatars is becoming too strict. It's ridiculous that I can't place my Vexillum in the Nex bank, or inside of banks - or even near Divination spots.

I don't agree with the action whatsoever, but their forums; their rules (even if they do seem illogical or inconsistent.. )

I've never used the attic he's talking about, and I do Warbands frequently, with PK Syndicate. Furthermore, "to prevent clans from dominating" is a pretty baseless reason. In what way are they dominating, and in what way is this causing any sort of problem?

Also Warbands are hosted in friends chats, not by clans - friends chats don't use vexillums.

Well...Mod MattHe locked it for grave-bumping, so evidently your interpretation of the grave-bumping rule is not how Jagex views it.

Exactly, and I am asserting that the way Jagex views it, regardless of whether they want to pull the "opinion/interpretation" card out, is illogical, and counter productive - as above. :)

Well, that explains it... kinda..
Sad how we have had to suffer for a few people misbehaving.. basically the same for the ' gravebumping' rule.. when was that introduced anyway?
To me this rule seems counterproductive, if used without some common sense.
In my thread a discussion had just started.. which now is gone and has to be restarted, creating even more threads..

But.. ok, so If I want to continue an old discussion I make a new thread.. check..

I wont do so for this, since I made this, kinda got my answer and looking at the other , much more important issue, it is safe to assume Jagex has better things to do..

Do I sound annoyed? That might be because I am... I expect better from the makers of my favorite game..

To be frank, yes - they do have more important things to worry about (Like the free SGS cosmetics glitch) than a small location in the entire map not being able to hold a Vexillum.

I believe you should reread that.. I was referring to the problem with noticeboards, not the Vex one, that I myself called a lot less important..

But the date on noticeboards for events being wrong for most clanmates basically makes this feature totally and utterly useless. This problem having existed for years.. is a disgrace and an insult to clans, but also to the mod who made this feature.

There has never been any logic in the grave bumping rule or rather no logical approach to which should and shouldnt be locked. Subzero summed up my exact thoughts on the matter.

Made even more illogical by the fact CLF isnt an active forum.

Whether you agree with whether or or it was a gravebump...

Look a new thread to discuss it on!

I have seen this place used as a warbands meeting place, but I agree its odd that they block vexes from being there, isn't that a latent reason for clans...and the warbands fc's, to dominate? ;)

And yeah most warband clans are run out of fc's but that doesn't mean they dont stem from a real clan, as one warband fc i was in for a while I learned about from the leader of said clan saying hey i also have a warband fc so, yeah.

On the note of the clan noticeboard, I never got them to work so i gave up because getting them to show the right date and time was a hassle, and we had other means of letting people know about events, so we did that instead.

Best of luck
