Respect for the decision you've made in your clan to give all clanmates Admin rank in order for everyone to have access to the Clan Avatar.
Jagex could've made the Avatar Warden into a Permission; not a job.
I really wish they would have and it's never to late to change that.

The situation our clan was faced with when Clan Avatars were introduced:
Our clan already had a ranking system based around something. It would have been very difficult to erase everyone's rank/achievement and make everyone equal solely because a Clan Avatar was implemented which would have been a huge mistake.

Now on the other hand. If our clan had come out after Clan Avatars were introduced; and we had no prior ranking system, I could see making everyone Admin rank a possible option. But, by have a ranking system already in place, we had to look for an alternative solution.

I'm honestly nobody to be telling you how you should be running your Clan, but you should be aware that your Admin+ Clanmates can kick lowered ranked Clanmates from your Clan; the kick permission on the Clan Chat applies only to Guests. In other words, you're taking a security risk by granting Admin+ ranks to people based on their Runecrafting xp. So giving everyone an Admin rank is ok because they won't be able to kick each other out and you can remove their permission to kick out Guests.

That said, it's really not a big deal to change your Ranking System. As the Leader of a 7+ year old Clan, I've probably changed my Ranking system around 10+ times already because RuneScape constantly changes and you will need to adapt to changes if you wish to stay active and survive.

Additionally, in-game ranks are not the only way you can reward Clanmates. You could write a Hall of Fame thread on your website/forum for Clanmates that reached certain goals. And if you used an off-site forum, you could also make up different off-game ranks and off-game award badges which is the approach I've taken to run my Clan because the CC Website is extremely limited. And you should probably recognize somehow Clanmates that reached 200m RC XP since that is the highest goal they could ever reach as Clanmates.

Option 2: fill out an application and then be given the Admin rank

You know... prior to the existance of in-game Clan Chats, Clans would require all of the Future Applicants to fill out an Application to join the Clan. Applications are great because they give Clan Owners a little background information on their Clanmates allowing Clanmates to introduce themselves to the rest of the Clan. So it's great that you have an Application form, but I personally would advise you to require ALL Clanmates to fill it out and to fill it out yourself so that you also introduce yourself to your Clan.

Let's review your current Application Form:

Username:

Important to keep records. ^
Are you a member of MRC:

Obvious and unnecessary. Simply add beloning to the Clan Chat as a requirement to apply. ^
Have you read the Avatar Warden Rules:

I would take this out because it doesn't matter if they read the rules or not. All Clanmates must respect and follow your Clan's rules. ^
Are you willing to follow the Avatar Warden Rules:

Same as above. If someone doesn't follow your Clan's rules, kick him/her out. ^
Why are you wanting to be a Avatar Warden:

This is a great question, but I would change it to something like:
- Why did you join our Clan?
- What can you offer to our Clan?
What is the name of our Clan Avatar:

Great question. You can use this as a trick question putting it somewhere along your Clan's rules to make sure your Clanmates read the Clan's rules. ^
What is your timezone:

Great question. It's important to know when your Clanmates are available. I would also ask:
- What's the best way to contact you?

I've actually been changing a lot of things in my Clan like my Rules, Requirements and Ranking System. I hope you don't mind if I steal the idea of asking the Clan Avatar's Names. :P

This is why I love the CLF. Even with our disagreements we can compare how we run our Clan, although this is going a little bit off-topic.

Edit: So I opened a thread called Questions we ask Clanmates to discuss this.
You can also grab other ideas to improve your Clan on How we keep track of our Clan .

PS: You should add the
Jagex could've made the Avatar Warden into a Permission; not a job.
idea on the first page. ;)

Admin+ ranks can do that yes; but thankfully we haven't had any issues thus far with clan members being kicked. I will assume that as long as a clan member is a part of the clan
they want to be in
, that in-and-of-itself, is keeping them from kicking players. On the flip side, if the clan member gives us reason as to why they shouldn't have Admin+ ranks then they will not be given Admin+ ranks.

Thank you Pescao6 for the positive criticism on the application, was a huge help.
I took a majority of your suggestions and applied them.

And yes we did get alittle off topic lol, thank you for the conversation was very helpful. I will add that to the front post :)

I like this, support.

P.S. Our first Avatar is called Janet Alberkinky and I don't think we've named our second one - must sort this tonight! Priorities are definitely in place ;)

Currently, I'm glad only Admin+ have access to the Avatar within my clan. It's a duty within my admin's 'contract' as such and they know to dismiss the Avatar before they log off for a long period of time, which is one of the reasons. If everyone was given access to have an avatar out, they'd no doubt go missing and we'd be waiting hours for it to return. The most popular buff on the avatar is the XP boost and the 3% for out-of-range but on the same world, is ideal for this purpose - not much would change. Ultimately, it depends how many admin+ you have and how many are active. If the clan system is ever adapted, allowing all members to have the avatar, I'd support this providing we're given the choice to keep it as admin+ also.

Cheers,
Zander.

If the Avatar Warden became a Permission, you could edit given Permission per rank to choose which ranks can use it. I believe this is what Jagex did with the Rated Clan Wars Leader Permission, so I think it should be fairly easy to implement.

I added the following Rules to my Clan:
a) You must notify the Clan every time you summon an Avatar.
b) You must dismiss the Avatar once your done with it.
c) You must release the Avatar if a higher ranked Clanmate asks you to.
And I also added a log thread on our off-site forum so that Clanmates remembered to follow these new rules and could receive credit for contributing to the Clan by summoning our Clan Avatars.

*~ Well they were Admin Rules; I just moved them to Clanmate Rules.

I mean it's not rocket science. If your Admins can collaborate following instructions, so can your Clanmates. I know it must be dificult to trust people these days because you can't really bond with them taking them to dangerous places like the Wilderness as a clan anymore; but you can make your Clanmates gain appreciation to your clan by making them share some responsabilities within your clan and force them to fill out an Application Form when they join your clan. Otherwise, they're just sheep that follow instructions from a shepherd as opposed to wolves that work together as a unit.
