Can i ask you directly though Mod Balance,

Jagex poll potential updates with the community all the time, why did they feel that it was not important to poll this update with the CLF or Clan community and went ahead straight to the release.

I am really angered by this and half tempted for an option to shut down citadel completely, as i feel updates like this where the idea was generated by the hard working CLF but put through MTX department will generate much hate purely cause of the MTX value of the idea

You mean, they ignored us like with the previous probation update they did?
We either get no updates, or are shunned and ignored as to our input. At least, that's how it currently feels.

As clan leaders, the best thing you can do is continue to be great role models for your clan members. You don't need to be positive about everything we do; it's good to have an opinion and want better for your clans - that's why we take your feedback - but you need to understand that we can't give you limitless resources.

Then what are we paying anyone for in terms of expected services and provided content? Let me ask everyone at JAGeX, how much do you all enjoy being employed? I've posted this in the VIP 2015 section as a question/comment as well. We're all paying customers, for the larger part. Yet we're "serviced" with these insulting micro-extras, when P2P was and IS supposed to be part of the 'FULL GAME'. And sure, they're optional, and not required in any way. But their intent was to NEVER be an advantageous retool or route through avenues of the gameplay. As a customer, I don't feel your company has taken anyone seriously. In fact, I see many derogatory pokes at the community from people that tend to easily forget that they work a job, and aren't mini-gods of a world of their own whims.

I digress, we're not getting what we're paying for. So, what's that mean for you? Sure, you're all probably much lower on the company scale, lower on the pay grade, I get that. Everybody does. Tales of woe aren't explanations for short-changing us. This disregard for what the clients actually want versus what they're getting has been coming to a head for a few years now... RuneLabs is great, and is being used instrumentally sure, but there's all this *extra* waste going around that's NOT community approved.

How about an inverse RuneLabs? People at JAG HQ can put their ideas on a platter for us to ridicule and vote on? It seems that ALL game updates (clans inclusive) should be decided upon by both communities (corporate and clientele) yearly, and nothing unapproved goes forward? There needs to be much more transparency.

I don't think the community should have input on all updates. Too often we vote on what we want and not what we need or what is healthy for the game. Plus it somewhat ruins the suprise of new updates if everything is pre-approved.

Clan updates are a little different because it's a player run system and I don't see it as purely content like I do pvm or quests. As I have mentioned in this forum before, clans used to be purely run by players before it became an official part of the game, and this is why tempers run high when updates come out that we don't like. We have already become too invested in the ease of life that the official clan system has brought us, to the point where we are forced to swallow these updates that no one wants.

On a side note, I also agree that P2P was meant to be the full game once upon a time, I miss it.

I would very much like this idea. The problem is Jagex has a track record of not consulting players over things that are controversial, so chances are the players wouldn't be allowed to vote on stuff they'd hate.

And JAGeX doesn't or hasn't? They're people too.
Might as well make the field level at least.

I do not believe we would want to put in place an inverse Runelabs systems. While some elements of it are applied on OSRS that is because of the "old school" and "retro" aspects of the game that that community has interest in maintaining. There would be significant issues with throttling development for the main RuneScape game in that way. Mod MattHe | Former Community Manager, now in Events & occasional Lore Monkey

Hi there, gonna throw in my 2 sense. I run a small - medium size clan, we have 78 people in it define size how you may, and a t4 citadel w/ 2 avas. Actively we have 30-40 players who play daily. Citadel wise we struggle. Atm we have a t4 citadel, and barely meet upkeep for that. Thats with me capping on 2 accounts, and capping on both avas. The reason behind this is no one wants to cap. It takes 2 hours or so, and although good for lower-mid lvls is garbage for maxed/higher level players.

Yesterday I capped took me about 2 hours afking w/ the 10% cap buff avatar. In this time I received 235k wcing and 43k smithing xp. I have bxp in both skills. As someone with 99 in both skills, and access to every training method, thats absolute garbage for xp rates. Crystal trees are ~110k/hr afking, teaks w/ urns + light form + crystallize is 250k/hr. Double that with bxp. Smithing with rune bars making r2h, which is profit, is 300k/hr.

The rates are outdated towards the maxed end of the community. Back in late 2010 when I maxed, I was the first person in my clan todo so. Now my clan has 38 people who are maxed. Most of them roll their eyes at citadel work, and scrape together upkeep to be able to keep avatars for 6%. At first this booster excited them. They they looked at the price laughed and went back to their normal rs lives, and the citadel was once again left teetering on the edge of dilapidation. For 1 booster, which only works for you, it costs 100 runecoins. thats 54% of a bond's runecoin value. Bonds are currently 11.3m, which makes it to 5.74m to save an hr of capping. even for the xp rates, its not worth it.

Tl;dr boosters instantly became dead content cause capping at the citadel is painful for most players and they only do it to maintain an avatar and the gp cost isn't worth it.

I fully agree. Outdated rates. Ridiculous booster cost. Double lose situation.
