Useful links:

CLF Moderation Escalation is basically the CLF version of Forum Help where you can report threads that are getting out of hand

The "Flag A Concern" Thread is for serious intra- or inter-clan issues that you are unable to resolve yourself. Not for minor politics that clan leaders are expected to deal with themselves. I think this thread has also been used to point out major bugs that are a result of recent code, for example if plots are disappearing when they didn't used to.

Count to 50 before a Jmod V24 is where jmods and CLFers alike can acknowledge their presence, if they happen to be lurking or passing by. Preferable if folks post with a little something besides just a number, but if you're shy, post here even if with just a number to get your face out there :)

How long have you been leading is a great intro thread by
Bodyy
. You can also fill out the questionnaire that
Tiber
has on this thread here :D

"Grave bumping" also works a little differently here. To preclude duplicate threads, sometimes it's acceptable to post on an older thread, but I would be sure to acknowledge that "I know this thread was last active a few months ago, but I think this topic is still relevant because..."

Other times it's acceptable to recreate a topic, because sometimes jmod feedback evolves .

1) How did you first find out about clans and how did you become involved with your current clan? Wow. Well back when I started they were 'friendschats'. I was a part of several of those at once. The clan update was awkward as I had to align with one and watched many awesome groups fall apart. That said, I have come to love clans. So this brings me to how did I become involved with my clan... My husband and I met playing runescape. We met in 2009 and did the first ever real life meet up in 2012. My friends and family from back then are part of the leadership. We always joked we would start a clan someday. So, when the clan I was in prior to my clans creation were rude to my husband and expected me to be 'okay' with this, I was like, yeah no. We got married and started the clan in the same week. :) YAY us! My parents, my husband and I form the core of the Ownership team. Naming it Jamandy52 was not my idea, but we all agreed on it. Clan Leadership meetings consist of Skype and Pizza. It's super fun!

2) Do you doubt on your abilities from time to time? Nah. I mean there's lots I don't know, but I have a great team - The ownership Team and the sub leadership team who continually bring ideas and suggestions!

3) Are you able to control your anger when a member does something very wrong? yeah. I remind myself that *I* am not required to like everyone in my clan - and that's ok! I still host the events, still be friendly, because hey - we're a clan! If someone in leadership violates the agreement for their duties, we confront them via pm or our offsite and look at their training and see what we can do to help them understand and carry out responsibilities. Honestly, I consider a failure of a clan member a failure of leadership, or myself, and take a personla interest in resolving it. I believe anything can be fixed!

4) Have you ever had a dream about your clan? Like, asleep? Sure. Do I have a 'real' dream like a goal an ambition? Heck yes! I want us to be a great clan, a family, fun, and a home for everyone. Sometimes I dream we have a runefest style event irl where we all meet up lol.

5) Would you ever join a clan again as a recruit? No. This is my final home, success or failure, it's my last one.

6) Do you talk with members using other sites/programmes (aka skype, facebook, etc.) Yes, we even have our website. We have also traded some cell phone numbers and real life addresses with our longer term members. it's complicated, but we do it on our offsite an totally optional and post plenty of warnings and information. At the end of the day, adults are going to do what adults are going to do ;)

7) What are your clans requirements for new members? NONE! We want you to feel welcome! We will push you to VISIT the citadel because visiting helps. But we want everyone to be themselves and try to engage with others on their terms.

8) How does your clan handle ranking? I'm a bit of a freak for collecting data, dates of join, etc etc etc. The ranks are laid out as certain jobs, and if you continue doing the work at the rank you want to achieve you will promote. I do ALL promotions on the first of the month unless a new member is within 2 weeks of join, then it's pushed out til their 2 week date depending on a few factors. Almost everyone promotes their first 3 months and then they settle into a grove or what they want to be responsible for.

9) What kind of events does your clan like to do? Penguins, drop parties, citadel work, skill competitions, and some of them like to do PVM, yuck!

10) Does your clan have a clan citadel? (If so, what tier?) 5! We will be ordering for 6 next month! =D
