whats with those fancy buttons? bad good? Are you a spymod?
They are browser extentions, an example would be Rs-Linkify (being developed by someone on the HLF). You can find it in the chrome store. They are 3rd party plugins to make the RS forum smoother and better :)

Mixed feelings about the prestige. I understand that they have to do something to keep the growing numbers of max & comp capers. For most it is optional and it will not matter if you reset or not. But for those for whom highscores matter a lot, it will be compulsory and I can see what the fuss is about :(

Sleep on the news. Hopefully it will not turn out so bad.

I like the idea of it since they're keeping the current high scores so it can still be optional if you like high scores.
If the fee to swap isn't too big then I'll be doing it for my fish as soon as I can.
I just hope that you can do quests with a prestiged stat, so do a lvl 80 fish req quest with lvl 1 prestige 1 fish for example. If we can't and the fee is high then I doubt I'll use this at all seeing as I love doing quests when they come out.

I think the idea is ludicrous. What a total waste of time over the past how ever many years each one of us has played to then reset our skills and grind it out all over again.

It's like this is now the new content for RS, since they haven't got much else to do at all. Instead of bringing us fresh, new content or even perfecting and fine tuning existing content, this is the kind of update Jagex is wasting time and resources developing.

It's why I don't play the game anymore. Not how it used to be.

im not going to prestige anytime soon, so it doesn't bother me if people can prestige. i dont care about hs ranking

Part of the problem that has not been addressed is to how reward the period between getting a 99 and now. If I have really worked at runecrafting for example for the last year, come prestige I am on the same footing as someone who gets 99 tomorrow. That nullifies all my work for the last year. I can really understand the heated debate and real ill will this is causing.

I don't see the harm in this. I feel it's an option people can have if they wish to compete for highscores. I feel it's an extention to keep older players. I don't feel it devalues anything currently in game. I don't think this has any impact on players who won't use this feature.
