Combat: Deals around 3-6% damage to the monster hostile towards the clannie every 5 sec (the % is equal to the players maximum lifepoints)

Why is it dependant on the player's maximum Lifepoints, rather than the player's maximum damage?

This would allow 'pure' accounts to exploit the Avatar to fight quest monsters without gaining any XP - which is exploitation of game mechanics in my opinion. I don't think pures should be made more viable in this way.

Furthermore, 3% of 9900 is 297 - That adds up to 3564 damage per minute. 7128 if you have achieved Fealty. This is quite a lot - and to be honest, it's a bit of a boring buff. We already have lots of options for "dealing extra damage".

Familiar Faces - Seems pointless to have this

The rework I have written buffs it considerably. Specifically, if you have more than five players in your team (such as raids, or clan masses), this buff will become far more noticeable because every player will be able to use Familiar scrolls far more often.

Auto ort - Pointless yet again its not that hard to pick up orts also with the ort storage that makes this buff even more useless!

Again, not pointless. I've rewritten it to act as a daily bonus XP D&D. Might require a bit of development time, but I think it's far better that this buff does something. I could write a rework completely for Anagogic orts but I don't want to up the development overhead of all of the content.

Skill plot bonus - Theres that clan cit booster... but honestly that deserves its own thread discussion.... bleh!

They should stack. I also made this buff a lot more noticeable, and worthwhile using for speed.

Protector - Sorry we have Heal over time which is far more useful

They're not quite the same. Protector is better for bosses that deal typeless damage, or large chunks of damage - whereas Heal Over Time is better for bosses with high accuracy and small hits.

One of the big things that you misses as well is that I would like players to be able to choose which of the three buffs the Avatar on their world has affects them - not be stuck with the one the Warden chooses. This way, players would benefit from my perks far more, without them being overpowered.

Those where just rough ideas that could replace or be added along side those avatar buffs so there was no need to go all out to bash on that...

^ If that is true then we don't really need your familiar faces buff tweak now do we? as we have a lot of "Dealing extra damage" things anyway even if it does take 5 people to notice the effect (and like I said it was just a rough idea to give those devs and us some ideas to think about)

I'm definitely sure they won't do the skill plot bonus reason? they have that clan cit booster on SGS - like I said this deserves its own thread for discussion,

^ Nope I did not miss that I really liked that idea in fact I liked the ideas you posted and do feel like it should be added in game regardless as it is much better then what we have atm, I only voiced my opinion on the buffs that I feel should just be replaced so was not bashing at your ideas or trying to offend you in any way... (Your posts have that hostility feeling towards me for expressing my opinions...)

Love the discussion of ideas on reworking the buffs. Not sure we will get any traction with the powers that be, but most of the buffs we have are not very good and any improvements would be welcome.

When the avatars first came out, we gave 1 buff to each of the 3 - 2 got the skilling buff and 1 av got the healing buff. We later added the other so all of our avatars now have the same 2 buffs and one open slot.

Why did we leave one open? When avatars first came out, it was clear that you could not remove buffs and replace them later -- and we thought that a new buff might come along that we would like to use. The mere fact of that decision and issues encountered by those who chose 3 up front highlight the fact that this needs to change. Destroying and rebuilding an avatar habitat to change buffs is ridiculous. This should be able to be changed once a week when all avatars are in the pond. The cost would be 1 mint cake as a bribe to the quartermaster, thus giving us a use for all those mint cakes from the priffagility course.
