Hey Dracae,

When a citadel goes into dilapidation it is a safety net which means the citadel and plots remain the tier they are. This is as a result of either upkeep or visitor count not being met. If you miss upkeep a second week then your citadel will go down a tier.

I have just visited your citadel and can confirm it has dilapidated which means upkeep wasn't fully met most likely and that's why the avatars are not in their habitat (they disappear when a citadel dilapidates).

Worry not though - make sure the upkeep is met this week and all will be back to normal next week.

Upkeep for tier 7 with all plots at tier 7 including battlefield: (Assuming you have no surplus)

Wood: 3545
Stone: 1300
Charcoal: 4305
Metal Ore: 1960
Metal Bar: 1960
Precious Ore: 2345
Precious Bar: 2345
Loom: 4030
Barbecue: 4460
Summoning: N/A

(Yes i know it off by heart don't judge me)

What I would recommend is setting all plots on lock on target and manually locking precious bar and metal bar. when upkeep for the others is met all the plots will automatically open up and then you/one of your admins can go manually open smithing and all should be good.

If you do have surplus on the plots then i'd recommend hovering your mouse over the resource and it will say -number (example Surplus: -950 Stone). The only plot it will not say that for is charcoal. When it comes to bars if there is surplus keep the target the same as what I have above but set the negative surplus as the target for the ore.

Edit:

Forgot to mention - Remember that with the Minions (Summoning plot) that 3 minions = 1 Metal/Precious Bar but for all other plots its 1 Minion for 1 resource

Thanks, I actually knew all that, although not the numbers without peaking...

My conclusion is that IF it was not a glitch and since no other leader here is reporting them happening.. then it would have to mean the numbers were off. Not big time, or it would have been noticed.. We did not have as many minions as we normally do this week, but we had some..
It remains a little mysterious and annoying. I prefer not to push people, and for years we did not have to do so.

Mistakes do happen, and hence why I'm thinking the numbers were off, and it is for this exact reason that the dilapidation period exists.

This time I got proof, lol..

The reason I set a goal for minions is as 'insurance', it is not needed if everything works as it should.

Just thought I'd mention , since you brought up setting targets for the minions, is that setting it is a great idea.

The reason for that ( though not necessariliy appropriate for your case ) is that if all plots have a lock on target set, all locks are released once the targets are reached. Setting the minions at an impossibly high target, keeps locks locked until you want to manually release them.

Our citadel is up and running again. i had screenshots ready to show we had, like we usually do, more then met our needs.
I have no way of knowing wether this was a rare glitch, or a very strange human error on our side.

I do remember doing one thing differently then usual, the week that messed up. Normally our avatars collect charcoal, just for 'shits and giggles' I had them collect normal bars this time.
If these bars somehow failed to count in the end that would have done it..

Anyway, it is what it is and I will certainly pay better attention in the future.
