well ya i know what i said earlier can work if done right however my other option is to have an awsome player who recruits for your clan like i do in my clan, well i actually have 2 awsome recruiters in my clan. a player who likes to recruit that sort of thing

Hello friend, as a recruitment specialist I'm always willing to help a brother that cares about his clan out.

Going out with the intention to find new members is only fine if you're willing to put in 5+ hours a day and accept inevitable dry streaks . You need to make finding people a passive part of your game-play: just examine everybody you see and approach the clanless.

Vexing is good habit but their is only so much it can get done; try vexxing less conventional spots - in the GE it's just another random vex to people; put it somewhere like Quercus or Vorago and players start clicking. (Choose placements relative to what your clan does: Skilling clan? 95 Div Spot (example)).

Looking for clan forums are also a good place to start, check here daily, PM-ing the people LFC's is usually more effective than just leaving a reply on a thread. These players are most likely to stay loyal if you get them.
It does not matter at all if you are really late replying, if you're different you'll get them, those copy paste replies are worthless.

Can also use runeclan, check out other clans and see if anybody has left recently; that clan wasn't for them, maybe yours is? Usually good to add these players and 'bump' into them, then just say what you would if you just found a clanless player by chance.

Another important factor is just acting as you would normally in clan when recruiting, if you don't the player may get a false impression and join for the wrong reason, retaining players is important for long term growth. You'd be surprised people get recruited through another recruit.

These are just a few of the methods I've used whilst recruiting, you will have to change how you recruit based on what you're looking for in your clan (size/timezone/goals).
