Make improvements to the clan battlefield (lots of responses here):

I've been able to address some of these issues here. I haven't got through them all but I've run out of time for today.
Caveat: Any of these that I can do something with will have to go on the pile of stuff to be done (TM).
Q Current Interface for Initiating Battlefield is too large and the text is too small.
I can look into this.
Q Join Interface needs to be changed so that people know what they can and can't use on the field, before joining the game.
Not sure this data is available before joining - but I can certainly look into it
Q Possibility of having maps 'named' for easy remembering?
It would have to be a limited template naming system, but doable.
Q Possibility of having more map saves?
Highly unlikely. Currently we're using almost 500 variables for each save... that's a lot of data (About equivalent to a player's bank)! At tier 1, you can have two saved layouts, tier 4 allows three saved layouts, and tier 7 has four saved layouts.
Q You cannot leave a map if there are no portals built into the map, forcing people to log out and login in order to exit
Whilst I see the problem and it is doable, I'd be concerned this may mess up some people's game play, if the aim of their game is to get to a portal to leave for example? Needs more consideration.
Q Change it so that upgraded tiers give more resources available to build more sophisticated maps.
Unlikely due to even more data requirements.
Q Replacing the minimap with a small minimap version of the current map you are editing.
Not possible I'm afraid.
Q Make it easier to drag out long lines of walls by holding down SHIFT and clicking.
Q Prebuilt curved, long (see above) and diagonal short/long walls and make it count as just 'one' block.
I believe Mod Ash did look into this when he was building it, and it turned out to be not really feasible.

Q Being able to input your own dimensions to make a map as big or small as you like or have different shapes.
The placement of items depends on the map being a particular size and shape, all the maths is geared to that - so whilst possible, it would be a rewrite.
Q The font size on the information when you hover the mouse over the minimap is too small, it's about 5mm long, making it hard to read.
This can be looked at.
Q You cannot tell the difference between Stats Power-up and other Power-ups.
This can be looked at.
Q The Pickaxe and Hatchet spawns are useless due to the Toolbelt already having them.
Very true. What would you suggest replacing them with?
Q Easier way to differentiate between selecting the gametypes.
Would require more discussion to see what you find difficult about the current way.
Q Having a 'Random' option for power-ups/stat power-ups, obstacles, walls so that the game randomly picks a difficulty, level restriction (in the case of power ups; option and negative/positive effects) and timer.
I'll be honest and say... I'm not sure, but I could certainly look into it?
Q Change the Arrow Spawn to be bolts/arrows/knives.
Possibly...
Q Rebalancing the NPC's for EoC combat.
Can definitely be looked into.
Q 'Bosses''; Perhaps being able to spawn bosses from Dominion Tower, GWD, Jad and other quests to make it more interesting map? (and possibly being able to make them teamed-based?)
Unfortunately the majority of the bosses' code is location specific, they don't like playing away from home.
Q More intelligent NPCS such as 'Guards' (who only attack if within approximate area and go back to spawn spot) / 'Patrols' (walk a path from A to B and back in an infinite loop, only attack if see people) as well as keep the original spawn type.
Whilst possible, I'm not convinced this would be worth the dev time to code and qa time to test - given the list of current clan issues.

Q 2-Way Portals - So you can teleport back and forth through portals scattered around the map.
An interesting idea... probably doable.
Q Themes! Could be similar to the current Clan Wars; The grey tiles are bland.
Unlikely due to graphics time I'm afraid.

Well for me, I really miss some of the people who used to be in my clan who play old school. I'd really like the chats to crossed over old school so we could communicate better and chill some too like we could in classic rs.

Anyhoos, I seem to remember this issue being brought up multiple times on the CLF, causing huge arguments between leaders each time... Perhaps check out
