Remember everyone - you can still individually recruit people as you are now. The only difference is you get a chatbox notification remotely instead of a PM saying "inv pls" @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

Exactly.

I can't count the number of times I sent someone to go add someone but the limitations were things like skill total or w52 only, and I was the only one able to go. Sometimes you don't want to drop everything but that can be the case for the one wanting to join, too.

Being able to send a remote request as an option would be helpful, though I do love meeting my clannies

To be honest with 99.9 percent of Runescape being inactive and afk.. with recruit up to it highest right now ( being sarcastic here) I support this.. not that i get many new members lol.

As a clan which takes on many new or returning players, often at low levels, I use this time to introduce myself to the clan member, to explain what they need to do now -regards reading our rules, and where to find them, etc. Often times they don't even know how to speak in the clan chat. But on the flipside to that then you could say if a new recruit cant even be bothered to see you for an invite then they are not serious about the clan.

If i was a player joining a clan i would expect myself to engage within the community and not expect special treatment.

I dont think thats the flipside, I think its the same side. I agree that if a new recruit can't be bothered to see us for an invite, that they aren't serious. If they don't want to take the time to meet up for an invitation, then my clan is not for them. Having a personal invitation doesn't stop engagement with the community, it encourages it .

And the act of meeting them and imparting information isn't special treatment, its normal treatment. It has happened to everyone who has been invited into clan, it may not be me personally that invites them, but the message is the same no matter who gives it.

i would like to see this or atleast changing the button on the clan vex from: Add player To Join as guest sometimes its annoying to explain someone how to join the clan as a guest, i always try to explain them who don't know this but it would go faster with a button.

Now about remote invites, I do place my vex sometimes and go do something else. then a player pm's me and ask me to invite him in this situations i like to have remote invites so i can keep continuing what i'm doing but also send him an invite with a right click options on his pm ore via clan settings and type in his name W/E.

But the way we invite players now should stay!. i like to have recruiting events with clan mates or when there are events like this one ( bonfire @ lumbridge crater at this time. ) to recruit players there and having a chat.

I don't support the ability to remotely invite players into a clan. Out of all the potential clan updates, this suggestion is not only unnecessary but is also a rather lazy and impersonal approach to clan recruitment.

Theres a strange notion that having to actually see the recruiter is somewhat more personal than talking through pm, its a wrong notion, theres no difference to talking to someone pixel character to pixel character as there is pming one another. Theres absolutely no difference except two people having to use a bit of their own time on having to do the same thing and potentially disrupt what they could be doing at the specific time.

Whether you have to meet up or not makes absolutely no difference to impersonaility of the arrangement its just all psychological, youre still behind a computer screen all the same typing to each other.

I feel this would be a nice addition. There have been times where I was the only recruiter online but I was all the way at the abyss (dangerous for him to come to me and for me to come back), and a remote invite could've helped greatly.

I do feel personal invites will leave a better impression, but no one is stopping you from still doing so
