It definitely gave me some hope.
Yes, between W2 GE, W54 Duel Arena, and rogue scammers and lurers everywhere and on different worlds, there are people being scammed out of hundreds of mils/sometimes bils on a daily basis, and that's just in scams and apart from the accounts that are being hacked (either through phishing, database leaks or malware/keylogging) for huge amounts.

I don't think you'll necessarily receive a reply directly about it (other than an automated we got your email type of message), but it should be looked in to regardless
On the topic of security, it is possible to keep control of your account if you're careful and have everything locked up tight. Make sure your email is very secure, with two step authentication, and your email password and RuneScape password aren't psaswords that you use elsewhere. If they are, I would suggest changing them asap. The RuneScape authenticator & bank pin are good features to have as well. Be weary of links claiming to be the RuneScape website via social media and/or third party sites and if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If in doubt about it, either don't do it, or do some research first
