Just wondering if this clan leaders forum is generally applicable to RS3 clans or OSRS clans or both. I know there are RS3 J-Mods who check here, but is it visited by OSRS J-Mods? Founder of the Wilderness Guardians

I believe it to be generally RS3, as OSRS have their own general forums (not sure if OSRS have their own clan forums).

Though I hasten to add the clans don't need clan chats at all.

There're a lot of clan leaders here who've been leading clans long before RS3 came out. I don't mind that the updates discussed here are focussed on RS3, but I do believe a clan leader can contribute to this forum independent of which RS version their clan is based on.

Clan Europe is currently OSRS based, as it's better for F2P warring. If RS3 gets a reasonably good combat system which my members actually enjoy, we'll come back. But considering it's been over 4 years since EoC came out and F2P combat is still an absolute joke (both EoC and Legacy), it could take a long time for CE to actually return to the RS3 scene. However, I do believe RS3 has a lot to offer for clans and so it keeps my interest.

I concur. I always thought the split was the worst, most dumbed down idea ever. I still to this day believe certain worlds could accommodate players of all preferences, and we could all still play together. Even when DarkScape existed, I thought, why the hell? Why couldn't that just be part of a particular server like any other D&D? Same with OSRS - there's no reason its features and additions couldn't be shared. It's like two steps backward to make one step forward, only to create self-brand competition, splitting your player base, thus alienating one of your game's versions fanbases, thus causing them to leave because they don't feel supported or part of a big community anymore.

It's game suicide. Always was. Always will be. Make ONE damn game. Put all the resources you freakin' split up and stretch so thin into ONE good product like it was originally and was always meant to be. Damn. It just makes me so angry. And then the way its spawned this OSRS vs RS3 mentality... How is any of this good for business, even less so for the players? Clan:
