Well, I have gone from having my examine openly available to now having it locked. I have a pathetic Runescore... why might this be... let me think.

So I started playing on Aug 1 2010 (note this was a full week after buying a membership coz I tried WOW first). Within 8 weeks of playing I had helped out enough people to form a clan, then a friends chat. We grew and grew and turned into a formal clan within hours of the clan system release. Fast forward to 2017, still running clans, the third and final being my current clan - have only had a single 8 week break in that whole time. So how to gain Runescore points? How about being able to focus on your own game - rather than having 3 or 4 pm conversations running each time you log in. How about at least 15% of your game time goes into helping clannies plan their goals. Add in running a teamspeak or discord server and maybe an offsite. How about just helping people with life also. I have a psychology degree.... it is often used. Also as a more mature player, I guide clan members into being respectful of others.

So yea while I am a tad ashamed of my Runescore, on the other hand what I have is much more worthwhile. I have quite a number of clan members still with me who started way back in the first 8 weeks. I am a happy clan leader.

I haven't even checked what my Runescore is or how it compares with anyone else's. I don't see what there is to be ashamed of in having spent several years playing a game in the ways you best enjoyed. If I were you, I'd just kick any memory of there being such a thing as a Runescore out of my mind again. :D

Although I do have a pretty high Runescore cause comped before Reaper. I do not care much about it....

And I think many people don't care about the Runescore either...

Not to be rude but, just relax and play however you want? If someone made fun of my runescore I think I would genuinely laugh out loud

Noeticus you shouldn't give a stuff about your runescore.

Runescore is for other people, not for people who run communities.

You help a lot of people have a better experience on Runescape, & you can't put a score on < 3

You sacrifice game time & achievements to give others more enjoyment, & your low runescore reflects that.
You should be proud of your low runescore, it shows you have put a lot more time into others than you have yourself.

Wear it with pride, you are a carer, you are not here for personal gain, & should have no shame in shouting loud & proud about your runescore whatever it is, as it doesn't diminish all your other accomplishments.

Runescore is a score about things that can be measured.
You can't put a score on love.
YOU WIN OR YOU LEARN

You shouldn't need to feel ashamed of your RuneScore. If players try to belittle others based on their progress in a game then they deserve a place on the ignore list. I've honestly not met anybody ingame who has tried to mock my stats at any point. There are very very few of those types of people in the game.

People have multiple accounts now. Whose to say that a person with a low RuneScore doesn't actually have trim comp on another account? ;)

I was disappointed when I saw mine. I really enjoyed the Achievement Diaries back in the day. But my score is lower than I thought it would be; then I realised I had all the rewards I wanted from the Diaries and the reason my score was so low was because there were all these other Achievs that really had no use and no prestige, like turning on all the lodestones, killing X bosses, or doing certain quests – stuff that was tacked on to the Achievement system when it was expanded from just the location diaries. Stuff I don't care much for and stuff I've never payed much attention to. So the score isn't entirely indicative of your prowess and/or progress. As others have said, don't worry about it too much.

Never heard runescore before

Was only released a week or two ago in the Achievements update/rejig. Basically it's a score determined by how many Achievements you've completed. The harder Achievs earn more points towards your Runescore, and there are 1,662 achievements to complete.
