To maximize your reward and xp gained per round, this is the list of things that you should go for.

Find all 6 species at 100% Rating

The first objective you have is to find the perfect tackle for all 6 fish. For more information, please see post 2.3.
Rewards Medals, Score, and Tokens

Catching 3 Big Fish

When fishing a species at 100% tackle, you may get a message stating ‘
You have hooked a big fish!
’. To catch the big fish, you will need other flingers around you to assist you in reeling it in.
DO NOT CLICK CAST IF YOU HAVE A BIG FISH HOOKED. YOU WILL LOSE IT.
For more information, please see post 2.4.
Rewards Medals, Score, and Tokens

Getting 6 assists

During the game, you will also want to help other players catch their big fish. You can assist them by clicking on the bubbles in the water to help them catch it. You want to get 6 assists per game at least, however it is recommended to continue helping people after your 6 assists, so they can get their big fish faster, and helps you get your big fish faster if you still need them.

Total Fish Caught

Another objective of the game is to catch as many fish as possible. You can increase your total fish count by
Quick Casting.
Quick casting is when you click on ‘cast’ right as you catch a fish, skipping the animation of you pulling up your fish. However, when quick casting, you will be at risk of losing a big fish. Therefore it is recommended to quickly peak in your chat box to make sure you did not hook a big fish before clicking cast. This will increase the amount of tokens you earn per game.
Rewards Score, and Token

Heaviest Fish

You need to catch a fish of at least weight 191 for the maximum score in that category, and 3 out of the 6 species fish can give you a fish of that weight. Once you have catch all 6 species in 100% tackle, you can click on the ratings besides the timer for the weight of the fish. The Heaviest, Heavy, and one of the Average fish can give you a fish of weight 191+. To find out which average gives the 191 weight fish, check which one gives you a fish weight that ends in a 1 when you catch it at 100% combo.
Rewards Score

Over 10,000 Weight

Lastly, to maximize the score for the flinger round, you need to catch a total weight of 10,000. Despite popular belief, that can easily be done by fishing at the Lightest fish.

Finding 100% Combos

................
`·.,¸¸,'
]

The first goal is to catch at least 1 of each fish at 100% rating, therefore it is important to understand how to find the 100% combo for a fish.

Baits

The first step you need to do is to find the correct bait for the fish you want to catch, follow these steps to find the correct bait.

Hooks

Once you have found the correct bait, you will need to find the correct hook. Follow these steps to find the correct hook.

Weights

The final part in finding a 100% combo is using the right amount of weights. Follow these steps to find the correct weight.

Tips

Here are some tips that will help you find combos easier

• Write down all the hints at the start of the game, so you can see which bait, hook or weight is used for a fish without having to work it out. Also, make sure you share your own hint with the FC and remind others to do the same.

• Each bait, hook and weight can only be used once. If a bait is already used for a previous fish, or is a hint for another fish that you haven't gone to, you can skip that bait.

• Pay attention to "similar" bait, hook, and weights. If worms is a hint for a fish at beach, it is not recommended to use maggot and shrimps as the first bait you try since those are similar to worm.

• Keep an eye out at locations where there are 2 fish. While changing the bait, hook and weights, the fish you're catching could change as the new tackle might give a higher rating for the other fish.

You have caught a big fish!

Perhaps the biggest RNG factor in Fish Flingers, and many struggle to get that precious medal because of Big Fish. There are, however, some tips and things you can do to increase your chance of catching a Big Fish.

You can only catch a big fish when you fish a fish at 100% tackle, so always make sure you are using the correct tackle.

You can only get one big fish in a 4 tile range. If someone else has a big fish near you, you should assist them to free up that spot so you and others also have a chance of getting a big fish.

It is actually possible for 2 people on one spot to each have a big fish if there are 2 combos in that spot, with one combo being of 1 weight, and the other of 6 weight, and each person use a different tackle.

There is a 1 minute cool down between catching big fish, this also applies if you accidentally unhook a big fish by clicking on cast.

Spreading out can help you get your big fish faster, but it may also result in no one being near you to help you reel it in. Therefore it is better to stay relatively close to some people.

If you find yourself with a big fish that you are unable to catch no matter how many assistants are assisting you, it is because you swapped your tackle right as you caught that big fish. To fix this, switch back to the other tackle that you were using, or you can move from the current square you are currently standing at and give up on that big fish. This does not trigger the 1 minute cooldown and you can catch another big fish right away. If you do not switch back to your previous tackle, or move from your current square, it will prevent anyone from getting a big fish within 4 tiles of your big fish.

How the FC Works

................
`·.,¸¸,'
]

Once the lobby opens for the Fish Flingers game, only hints and combos should be posted in the FC, all other chat should be kept outside of the FC. This post will summarize how the FC operates during a game.

The Hints

When the lobby opens, this is the time for everyone to share their hint with the fc. To do this you need to right click on the fisherman and click "Do you have any advice about the fish?"
This advice will give you a certain clue that can help with the finding of the combinations in game. After getting the advice, share it with the Friends Chat! Everyone will need to do this as shown below in the image.

Note that you need to stand at least 1 square away from the fisherman or he won't give you a hint.

The Calling

Once the 5 minutes are up, the game will start. Everyone will start looking for the perfect tackle for each location, and share them in the chat. Once a 100% combo is found, it will be called in FC with the following information (order does not matter)

- Fish Type
- Location of Fish
- The correct Bait
- The correct Hook
- The correct Weight

Example of a call: Bass / Lake / Shrimp / Slim / 2
This call means at the LAKE there are BASS being caught with SHRIMP, a SLIM HOOK, and 2 WEIGHTS.

Once all six combos have been called in the FC, the friend chat should remain silent so the combos don't get scrolled off.

Once the game has finished you are free to talk in the FC until the lobby opens for the next game.

Total Weight
Weight of your Heaviest Fish (caps at 199)

On the top right corner, in small text - you will see how many
Tokens
you have earned.

On the middle of the screen you will see your

To the right, you will see the top 5 scores in that round of Flingers. (In cases of tie, the ranking is random)

On the bottom right, you will see the player with each of the category listed. (If you caught a heaviest fish, it will always show your name)

Lastly if you click on the details tab, it will bring up the perfect tackle of all 6 species that round, regardless of whether you discovered them during the game.

Score

Your score in the current flinger games determines your ranking against other Flingers who were in game with you, and also determines how much XP you get that round.

Your score is determined by the following performances in game:

Number of Fish Caught (caps at 5)

70-79 fish = 1 point,
80-89 fish = 2 points,
90-109 fish = 3 points,
110-129 fish = 4 points,
130+ fish = 5 points.

Big Fish Caught (caps at 6)

Each Big Fish = 2 point

Number of assists (caps at 6)

Each assist = 1 score

Total Weight (caps at 20)

You are awarded 2 score once you reach 1,000 weight, and for every 500 weight after that you

Heaviest Fish (caps at 3)

171-179 weight = 1 point,
181-189 weight = 2 points,
191-199 weight = 3 points.

Perfect Tackle Found (caps at 8)

You will get 1 point for each of the first 4 perfect tackles, 2 points for the fifth and sixth.

The maximum score you can get at Fish Flingers is 48.

Experience

At the end of the round, you will also be awarded a chunk of Fish Flingers xp. The xp you earn is mostly determined by your fishing level, but your score also affects it by a very small amount. The table below shows the breakdown of xp at each score you can earn from Fish Flingers at level 99 Fishing.

At lower levels, your xp is also limited due to a cap of only being able to level once per game. Therefore it will often put you 1 xp from your next level

Rewards - Medals & Tokens

................
`·.,¸¸,'
]

Medals and Tokens are two forms of reward currency that you earn from Fish Flingers based on your performance. They allow you to buy rewards from the Fish Flingers Rewards Shop.

Medals

Medals are required to purchase tackle boxes. You can earn up to a maximum of 4 medals per game:
Junior Angler
- 3 Perfect tackled discovered
Master Angler
- 6 Perfect tackled discovered
Whopper
- Catch 3 of your own Big Fish
Team Player
- Assist 6 other players with their big fish.

It should be easy to earn at least 3 medals per game. The only medal that may be hard is the Whopper medal since hooking a big fish requires a bit of RNG.

Tokens

Tokens are the main form of currency rewarded at the end of Flingers. They allow you to purchase every item in the Rewards shop.

The amount of tokens you are awarded at the end of each round is determined by:
Number of Fish Caught (capped by time)

For every 4 fish you catch, you are earn
1 token

Number of assists (caps at 3)

Each assist is worth
1 token

Big Fish Caught (caps at 3)

Each big fish is worth
1 token

Perfect Tackle Found (caps at 3)

Every 2 perfect tackle is worth
1 token

The maximum amount of token you can have is 2000. Once you reach that you will no longer gain more tokens from games, therefore it is recommended to use them up so you don’t waste tokens.

Using the medals and tokens you earned from Fish Flingers, you can purchase different rewards from the Fish Flinger reward shop. To access the reward shop, right click the Fishermen and select
’Rewards’
.

Fisherman's Outfit

The first reward you can buy is the Fisherman's Outfit using Tokens. Each piece costs 140 tokens. This is a 4 piece outfit with each piece giving you 1% bonus XP in fishing. If you have the full outfit you will get an extra 1%, meaning the full outfit provides 5% bonus XP.

Outfit doesn't boost XP inside Fish Flingers.
Outfit XP boost stacks with the Shark Outfit.

Tackle Boxes

Another reward you can buy is the Tackle Box using Tokens and Medals. Tackle Boxes are very useful to buy as they provide many benefits such as allowing you to store tools, baits, raw fish, gloves and the fishing outfit. You are also able to teleport a certain amount of fish daily to your bank, saving you a lot of time when fishing.

Tackle boxes don't include the fishing outfit.
Medals are kept when a tackle box is bought, whereas you spend the tokens. This means overall you will need 500 medals and 3570 tokens in total to obtain the Champion's Tackle Box which is a trim completionist requirement.
