As for Azure Golem in the Shield region... yea that's the most useless golem of them all. The M+C is weaker than basic crew, it costs too much Azure, and the Staunch trait is useless since you should/soon have lifeboats on all ships.

Thanks for the response! I've long since had lifeboats on all my ships, and actually just tonight unlocked the 4th ship and already had a lifeboat ready to apply there as well, so Staunch isn't really an issue (honestly, since starting out with PoP I've literally never lost crew AFAIK), and I'm not sure the resource thing is a major consideration either considering it's less than one good voyage's worth, on par with the merchant, and significantly less than the JoD. If those are the reasons, given that I don't have death as a factor and I've already spent the jade to hire them (and the time to get them up to level 5-6), it sounds like there isn't a reason to actively get rid of them at this point, right?

It'll be a bit of a challenge now that I have a 4th ship to keep sailing, I'll need to give up on two of my crew (I assume I'll drop my chimera, since the golems are coming close to out-stating it, and... either a golem or a sea witch? Or maybe one of the 1-statters? I'll have to figure out what I'm shortest on stat-wise overall) for a 4th merchant and JoD, and I assume it'll be much trickier to get a set of 4 voyages with different adversities to balance out the fact that I'll be using almost all of my crew without having much wiggle room. Here's hoping it goes okay...

You already spent resources to hire Jade Golems, so keep them until you reach Pincers region. Follow section 25 to the best of your current circumstance. Follow sections 26-28 word for word once you reach Pincers and beyond.

Always remember:
- Keep all 4 ships sailing 24/7
- Even failed voyages give 100% distance (failure doesn't mean much, once you reach the next region, just hire the new crew and train them up in previous region if its not already 100% completed)

I would like to apply for port completionist:
At this moment I have one spot open in my crew for rerolling crew to get better ones (I hope to compensate this with at least one crew member in each of the highscores, see also my next post :) ).
