Yes, but what i'm referring to is a universal grace period for ALL new updates. Should be no need to lose comp at all even.

Sometimes we are busy for awhile after a new update comes out is what i'm saying. It may be a few days or a week before we have to to sit down and really focus on grinding it out. It's annoying to lose cape right away every time for an update.

One month grace is not asking for a whole lot, so we are not rushed into having to grind for our capes back immediately and can still enjoy other aspects of the game.

The issue more is - this cape is not made for casual players - it just isn't in the nature of this thing.

If you're in constant agony due to forcing yourself regaining it, it's just healthier to stick to something else - take a max cape for a while - it has a slightly different style and no particles, but is otherwise the very same cape - and try to regain comp in a pace, that is healthy to you - not just this time, but in general.

Otherwise - one month of grace for something, that needs you to be at a place 13 times for a couple of minutes. Of course.

It's not just 13 times for trim, you have to participate in 100 of these wildy events.

And yes I will get it back in time, but not without losing it for a couple of weeks first. There's no reason things have to be that way every Monday an update comes out.

I still disagree with you. There's no reason they couldn't have a universal minimum grace period. Even 2 weeks or a month would be good.

There's no other cape that feels quite like the comp / trim comp cape to me. Max or 120 all cape just doesn't cut it.

It's the best looking cape in the game. Once you get it, it feels real bad losing it every time an update comes out if you don't have time to grind it back immediately.

To Rikornak's comment about it not being for casual players:

I'm not a casual player by the way. I'm a seasoned Runescape veteran who plays basically every day. Been playing since before farming came out in 2005.

I'm speaking not just for myself, but for many players who are tired of losing cape on Mondays all the time. I've heard many others say this, many times.

ive never liked the grace periods, i enjoyed the fact my trim use to disapear just because of 1 small thing or even a large thing. it fits with what is suppose to be. its suppose to be the bis for completing the game.

when it grace periods first came out. i was feeling like my hand is being held in hoped i dont throw a tantrum that my favourite toy is gone for a little while i dont want that. i dont need that. now people wanting it due to a trim req takes longer than a week? its a trim req they arent suppose to be done easy peasy they are long reqs. look at all the others. i know many have been made easier time wise like statue isnt a weekly anymore etc. trim is suppose to be for the ones who complete the game more so than just levels and music unlocks. i also think that shouldnt be babied with grace period. you want it? earn it

but either way id rather they have no grace period. but i 100% know that that is not the supported way community feels. idk why honestly apart from just wanting things easy...

Heres an opinion from somebody who thinks Comp should be ripped from the game right this minute. Having the grace period means people don't rush through content quite so fast. The longer the grace period, the more time people feel they have to do content, the bettor off the game is in the long run. We want to encourage people to do things other than GRIND GRIND GRIND.. Longer grace periods lets people feel like they can do that. Like they can actually stop and breathe in this game.

Just, something to think about.
