Dead and Buried is revealed as the next and final chapter in Fort Forinthry before the release of the new Necromancy skill.

The name of this chapter is just self-explanatory. Something dead is buried in Fort Forinthry.

Well, guess where is it buried?

Zemouregal distracted us to go north outside the Fort, leaving his allies to seize the powers from the "dead" buried. We built the Fort to try to harness some unknown ancient sacred powers underneath it. It is looking more and more like that powers will come from some buried ancient dead.

So during the quest where Zemouregal was trying to enter that OBVIOUS dragonkin chamber. It did cross my mind whether this was the "vault" as it was so close to Daemonheim.

In Heroes Welcome the kin manifests the elder Mirror artefact and use it to transfer the god energy from V to the other kin we fight at the end of the quest. However when it disappears they said they have returned it to the "vault"

Until now this vault has never been seen and nor has the mirror again

Kerapac clearly didn't have access to this vault, he took the needle to Anachronia for his device. I think he could have moved the device to the vault if he so wanted. I do think bringing back Anachronia has other significance, not just for Raksha, the Matriarchs and all the other meaningful content but as the lore goes... Jas bound them to the stone of Jas, hence Kerapac wanting revenge and Jas attacking in defence of this.

It goes to reason that if you are bound to an object which causes you pain if other creatures use it, then you would bring that to your land for safe keeping, this means that the stone of Jas was brought back with this version of anachronia. In safe keeping on Anachronia, before guthix ever walked the world.

Dead and Buried could well be the Dragonkin vault which houses not only the Mirror and possibly other elder artefacts but perhaps artefacts of unknown power.. Even perhaps, something linked to Erebus safekept by Kranon before he became the Ambassador.

I do hope though that there is something that restores our world guardian powers. Because Erebus and Xau-tak/Vos lore shouldn't just end.. It was getting good!

I also think Iaia should be accessible for return, fix the world gate link and bring forward 120 divination and possibly others on a new "dead" world which the players can learn about the old cycle of elders as well as the new in relative safety

They left a gaping hole with the end of the Great Revision. It's time to fix that.

Dragonkin was the ruling, or even the primordial, Gielinorean race even before the Elder Gods arrived. It would only be surprising if we didn't find Dragon "chambers" all across the east coast of Misthalin, regardless it is South Varrock, north east Desert, Wilderness, Fort Forinthry and Daemonheim. Of course, no doubt we will find them in Anachronia where where Dragonkin originally came from.

Zemouregal says in the quest that he already had what he needs when he was trying to open the crypt door. So the door isn't that important to him. When you enter the crypt you see a coffin which is open and empty. The thing what was in that coffin was important for him. He will bring that thing back to live and that's where necromancy starts. Trying to open the crypt door was only to find maybe more coffins/corpses.

Zemouregal is only a small potato in the grand scheme of Necromancy. He was just a distraction. Of course, we know Buried and Undead will be the main event in the Fort directly leading into the grand release of the Necromancy new skill,

There will be one more Necromancy related update after the Spring/Early Summer release of Dead and Buried, but it probably will only be a story update introducing Necromancy. Even Zemouregal still makes a rodeo appearence in that piece of content, he will likely be forgotten after July 2023. By then, we will be talking about other untold stories regarding the Fort in parallel with Necromancy, and Zemouregal doesn't seem to have any role.

Where did you saw there will be one more update before necromancy release after dead and buried? In the development updated they are saying two content updates before necromancy. Woodcutter's grove and dead & buried quest.

"FORT FORINTHRY
Speaking of Seasonal Content, it's been a blast watching you all living your best Duke/Duchess/Duxe life lately in Fort Forinthry. There are still two more big moments to come in the Fort Forinthry Season,
with the first of the two arriving in June.
"

The 2 big moments come separately. The first is arriving in June but not the 2nd one (which probably will come in July when Necromancy is released.

Have they said Necro is coming out in July? I honestly cannot see it coming out till very late in the year.

They didn't give us an exact date, but they told us the last "big moments" before the release of Necromancy is coming out in Spring/Early Summer. Summer 2023 begins in June and Spring is even earlier. They also confirmed the date they will reveal the Necromancy skill is May 30. The most logical deduction from all these clues is Necromancy will come out around July. They didn't give a fixed date, but when RS3 gave a detail reveal of major projects, it never took them half a year to release it.

"After that first look, we'll be giving you even deeper looks inside Necromancy as development of the Skill enters its closing phases"

Development of Necromancy is at its closing phase on May 30. It should not take long for them to release it.
