I'm having problems also killing him. Story mode with no drop (only for the quest) would be appreciated, then people would be able to get their quest capes back at least. Leave all the fame and glory for the 10% of pvm'ers that can actually kill this boss.

You're fighting a story mode variant during the quest. The regular fight has double hp (and does more damage?)
Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
Quick Fixes: Invention

Well darn, I have tons of food left when I get to P4, but can't survive at all, damage is more than I can eat :(

You need to avoid the explosions since those really can mess you up - so you'll need to stay on the move and just hit him every once in a while with your abilities and let your conjures do the job mainly.

For a quest boss it's certainly challenging, but it also wouldn't be the first one taking a few attempts to be beaten. Otherwise you always could get a few more levels on your bones and/or better equipment.

Maybe that one will help you as well.

So I just want to say that I upgraded to tier 90 tank, fixed my bar and I killed him. Was a big yay moment lol.

OK, are Jagex having a laugh? Rasial is just about impossible for me. I'm 108 necro, have 80 tank armour and can't even manage to touch him, I can't eat enough to keep alive even if I'm spanning the eat food button. That leaves me no time to get my conjures out, I can't get enough adrenaline to get the zombie and ghost and the skeleton isn't enough to do anywhere enough damage.

How is this even fair to non-pvmers?

By the way, 90 armour is beyond me, won't be able to kill the GWD2 bosses!

Goodbye, quest cape, I thought we'd meet again but it seems not!

Just to add, it seems a bit shitty that Jagex take the time to worry about ritual xp rates being too high but don't worry about the quest boss! Seems skillers are the last thing they care about as always.

While the Quest Mode of Rasial was somewhat doable, Ive found it nearly impossible to beat him in post quest mode. The issue is the final phase. Its nearly impossible to do damage to him while you are constantly trying to move.

The only way I have found you can damage him is to keybind some abilities and use that with one hand and move around with mouse with the other hand. But here is the rub:

Jagex advertised necromancy as a skill that would allow more players to learn combat and do better at combat. This is anything but the case. Its exceedingly more complex than other combat modes in my opinion. Having to use dozens of keybinds to successfully kill him is not making combat more accessible to more players but making it that much more difficult.

I have managed ONE, thats right ONE post quest kill, and that was probably sheer luck at hitting him for 30k with a special attack during the final phase before he killed me with the necrotic explosions.

Not everyone has the coordination to use multiple keybinds during a fight and mouse using two hands simultaneously. Not only that, I recall something said about not needing as complicated rotations, but that is obviously not the case with Rasial. A successful kill is highly dependent on using a "correct" rotation

I can consistently get to the final phase of Rasial but always choke on that last phase. Trying to use defensives, abilities, eat, etc etc with keybinds while constantly moving is extremely difficult, particularly given the lag introduced by some of the ability animations. Its a very fast paced fight especially in the last phase and leaves no room for misclicks or errors.

These sorts of mechanics dont make combat "more accessible" to players but does the exact opposite. The higher dps of necro abilities simply does not make up for the added keybind requirements.

I 100% agree with Horsechaser, not everybody can manage multiple bars and keys. I can barely manage 1 combat bar. Not everybody can spends billions on the absolute top gear either. Like several others have said, I can click eat as fast as I can and still not keep up with the damage done. I die, I collect all the gear and find out that with all the clicking I've maybe, MAYBE managed to actually ear 4 or 5 of a pack filled with food, so there is something very wrong. I know the players who live for combat complain about skillers getting things but face it, anybody can plant an herb, not everybody has the ability to do high level, multiple stage boss fights.
