I think two rings would be a great idea, two slots in the ring place (I wear 2 rings on one hand, rl).
I'm not sure if it should be limited to one combat and one support though. I think any two rings could be used together as long as they are not the same ring and the bonuses don't stack.
But perhaps I am not understanding which rings you are calling combat and which support. Slayer and Dueling rings would seem to both be support rings but I often use them together for tele and banking. It would be nice to be able to wear both so as not to use up and inventory slot.
There are other examples of two support rings or two combat rings being used together. It may be that in the use of combat rings you might not be able to take the bonuses from both rings if they overlap, only the higher bonus of one of the rings may be counted if each combat ring gave the same type of bonus. Haven't really thought about that but just an idea that came to me so that wearing two combat rings would not be overpowered.

It could be done a number of ways without being overpowered. The fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, Fulton, and the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.

41-50 def= 5 rings equiped

61-70 def= 7 rings equiped
71-80 def= 8 rings equiped

In Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (I am old school and will not change that fact) characters are allowed to wear one magic ring on each hand. Since most characters have two hands, this means two rings. I'd like to see that here as well, especially since I have to compare all fantasy games back to the first I learned almost 30 years ago.

Oh, and if you try to equip two of the same ring, you get a message that says "The powers of the two rings cancel each other out and neither will function." so the player character has to wear two different rings to get two magical effects. One ring, of course, would have nothing to cancel it out, obviously.

Edited for numerous typos. Bloody big chunky fingers.
