The Senate Committee on Terror has released a statement proclaiming the capture and arrest of Colonel Alexander Torres, the primary suspect in a massive underground operation which has sold over 10,000 pieces of military equipment - including weaponry - to foreign terrorist organizations, including to Porschestani and Atlanti insurgents.

Torres was apprehended last Tuesday in a flash raid on a space taxi travelling between Nera and Golan. Asisted by a Coast Guard cruiser, agents of the Neran Security Bureau and the Domestic Security Office boarded the vessel, arresting the colonel and five other people. Their identities have not been revealed, but two of them were allegedly foreign nationals.

Orphaea Imperium, director of the DSO, stated in an interview that he believes that this is the beginning of the end of illegal weapons trade in Nera.

Torres will be tried by a military court in the coming weeks.

Late at night, three Atlantis Forces helicopters from the Joint Task Force landed at three mountains surrounding the airstrip taken by terrorist forces. The three teams set up advanced EMP devices around the airstrip, jamming all electronics in the base, preventing further WMDs from being fired.

Three transport aircraft fly high overhead, above the EMP. Six different teams parachute out, each with a mission. Team One, Two and Three are to recover hostages, while Four and Five clear the rest of the base and Six recovers the WMD control room.

Upon landing, the six teams quickly undertake their missions. All of the terrorists are killed in the raid, while only three Atlantis soldiers and hostages are killed. Most of the money was frozen and seized by the Bank of Atlantis, while some was successfully transferred to larger divisions of the terrorist force. The civil war may continue for a while longer, until the rest of the terrorists are destroyed.
