Communications with the Star Wars Galaxy have suddenly been broken. The Imperial government has released an official statement regarding the incident, stating that the communications break is only temporary will be shortly fixed. The INEC is working hard to restore the communications array with the galaxy.

Travelers from the Andromeda and Pegasus galaxies have reported an odd decrease in the presence of NPE fleets. Rumors have spread that Grand Admiral Pellaeon himself has left his post at Charleston for an unknown destination. Emperor 123 was last reported to have left aboard the Imperial First Fleet several weeks prior.

Pellaeon(Hologram): Geonosis is lost. I have ordered what remains of the Third fleet to regroup at Falleen for repairs. I am currently on my way to Druckenwell to meet up with the Second and Fourth fleets.

More fire works launch into the sky as the announcement is finished.
"Now welcome to the stage, DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER DLYBY AND CHIEF JUSTICE CLYBY!" The pair walk on to the stage waving and smiling to the crowd. Dlyby then takes the microphone.
"Ladies and gentlemen please stand for the Tanician national anthem, after it is finished please stand for a moments silence to pay respect to all those who have lost their lives in the recent fighting, in both Tanicia and all other nations."

The national anthem "The Eternal Republic" is then is sung as the Flag is raised by Honour Guard from all Tanician Defence Force branches. After the anthem is over the minute of silence begins while the Last Post is played. After the minute is over the parade of nations starts.

(OOG I have removed inactive countries from the list [plus Porche who's country is in anarchy] if you are active and I have wrongly removed you please tell me)

The Olympic torch runners then one by one pass the Olympic flame on until the final one reaches the stadium's cauldron igniting it.

The Fifth summer Olympics have officially begun!

123 covered some of you questions but I don't think any country will be giving you a hyper drive as you are meant to start off with modern tech and slowly start to become more advanced until you get too a point where it doesn't really matter anymore.

The de facto rules about when you can start researching tech is:
• 5-10 years for rail and coil guns
• 30 years for a plasma tech (shields guns etc.)
• 60 years for FTL drives
• 100 for teleportation

But seeing how inactive the games is I'm not sure if others are willing for you to advance faster than the standard. I don't care as long as you are reasonable, but it isn't just up to me.

If not I am willing to offer FTL transport for peaceful exploration, colonization and trade, but no military activity. If you want to take me up on this offer I will go into more detail about what you can and cant do with the ships.

Despite the recent end to the Atlantis Civil War, minor skirmishes persist, along with protests across the country. Some Royalist and Republican regiments insist their desires have not been met. One of these regiments attacked government buildings in down town Gweru, before local authorities drove them out.

The Occupy Atlantis movement is also picking up momentum, with a large scale protest of the new House of Lords ongoing just one block away from the Royal Atlantis Parliament. Shortly after this protest began, Parliament revoked a bill designating baseball bats as WMDs.

In other news, the Olympics have begun shortly behind schedule in Tanicia, the large Atlantis team arrived two weeks ago, and features contestants for every event held

Protests and small skirmishes persist across Atlantis. Occupy Atlantis protesters in Arretium have been occupying Parliament Park, across Main Street from the Royal Atlantis Parliament, for approximately two weeks.

The Superian President called the Atlantian leader to personally thank him for helping the SSEI, as well as accepting the FTA. The Superian President plans to travel to Atlantis to have a friendly meeting with the Atlantian leader at his earliest convenience.

Project 7447: 8% complete.

Project 6683:
Design and build original Superian military vehicles based on American and Russian designs. The objective is to use the designs to optimize the advantages of the vehicles from both nations to create vehicles that are the best of both worlds.
