Porschestan is no more.
This once mighty nation has been forgotten and is history. Once a leading world power alongside Arrentine, Porschestan had a reputation as a reliable friend and one of the most influential diplomatic mediators the world had ever seen. Porschestan's unique ability to broker peace deals resolved multiple crises and prevented many wars. However, Porschestan's inability to resolve its own, internal crises led to 100 years of civil war and a tragically ironic collapse of government.
Today, the region is referred to as former Porschestan. The Irkelkam dynasty, which ruled Porschestan for thousands of years, came to an end during the civil war. Neither the central government nor the rebels were able to oust one another, and today the former Porschestan consists of a patchwork of different states. Despite their differences, each of these nations has one thing in common - poverty.
Life in former Porschestan contains glimpses into the once-fortunate past scattered about the ruins. Most of the granite used to build the Porschestan National Museum in Combay remains, although the windows are shattered and charred from fire. The skylines of Combay and Krasnovodsk, Porschestan's two major cities, are eerily dark at night. Porschestan's famed national MagLev network, the first of its kind in the world, lies in ruins. Anti-matter power plants across the nation have been looted, although nearly all of the potentially catastrophic anti-matter material was secured by the Arrentinians. Perhaps most striking is the Olympic complex in New Bautino - once the capital and crown jewel of the UCN/PCR, this city has fallen on hard times due to its proximity to Porschestan and now its Olympic stadium is used as a refugee camp.
Small battles still pop up across former Porschestan, but the war appears to be over for the most part. Life in Arrentine continues as normal, but life in Porschestan will never again be the same.
What does the future hold?
