Fajner looked at the slumped bodies around him and, having decided that they were sufficiently unconscious, surveyed what was visible of the room. The only illumination came from a small arc lamp balanced against the doorframe, creating a small circle of light that barely stretched five metres into the room. Clearly, the men had not been here long and weren't planning to stay.
Fajner picked the light up off of the ground and turned it off, and slowly closed the door. He then moved his palm along the wall to the right of the door until he found a spot that was slightly smoother than the rest of the wall. He pressed his palm down here, and a pale white light appeared from hidden panels in the ceiling, illuminating the entire room. It was a long, narrow chamber, perhaps four by twelve metres, almost like a dead-end hallway. At the far end there was only a smooth wall.
The men had clearly felt the magical potential of the room, and they had known there must be some sort of hidden cache, but there were no buttons or locks in sight. The reason for this was simple - none existed.
Fajner grinned to himself and raised his hand, palm open outwards, toward the far end of the room, and closed his eyes. The smooth, dark grey wall seemed to shift and sigh slightly as it grew lighter and lighter. In the very middle of it, a small bluish spot appeared and grew, until suddenly a brilliant ultramarine blade arced out of the wall, overpowering the white glow of the light panels and flooding the room with blue.
