Djinnaken spends its annual Thankgiving Day. This day seems to have ancient roots in our capitol region and so today most of Djinnaken did this.
Woke up and had a small breakfast.
Then we preceeded to cook, clean, and labor to prepare todays celebration.
Then Djinnakenians distributed food to the less fortunate.
Then we gathered at public games and events or their religious ceremonies. the biggest attractions are the huge parades held in the major cities
Then people gathered in their clans (clans are Immediate family, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.) or groups of friends, etc. and then spent time talking, playing, etc.
Then we eat a dinner of great proportions. there are many dishes to be served, among them turkey, ham, roast beef, ham with a lemon sause, chestnut stuffing, cranberries with sugar in a thick sauce, called cranberry sauce, corn, popcorn, mashed potato, and more and more on.
Then for the rest of the night is relaxing, playing, talking while snacking on pies, cakes, ice cream, canole's, cupcakes, other pastries, and the leftovers of dinner.
We used to all go home after the night, and some still do, but it has become a recently big tradition to just drop and sleep until tomorrow morning.
And the peice de risistance is that I was Home for Thanksgiving. The immortia threat has gone down enough for me to return.
And the thanksgiving at the palace was great (thanksgiviings are informal, thankfully)
