Who is this "Justin Beaver" person? I haven't heard of him. Also, poor Everyone. Why is it that people keep killing him for no reason?
---
Seeing a person cackling madly as some other person's head explodes, I figure that the first person is a murderous villain. Luckily for me, whatever the villain was using seems to be coming from a set of speakers near him, which isn't working on me because I recently fired an anti-materiel rifle without hearing protection. So, I fight through the pain in my chest long enough to club the guy in the back of the head with the stock of my Hécate, then smash the speakers.

Huh.

Script has read Worm?

You learn something new every day!

Anyway, I'm surprised he triggered as a Thinker - in a situation like that (direct threat to himself and his body), he's waaaay more likely to have triggered as a Brute or a Striker. Thinkers usually trigger from stress over a period of time, not in life-threatening situations (except Contessa, but that's entirely Eden's fault).

I'm going to make a quick guess that he's in the style of the Number Man (since even being a pre-cog wouldn't automatically teach you how to fire a sniper rifle accurately, but being able to calculate angles and suchlike would help); maybe with a minor Brute secondary power (since he doesn't appear to have any problems holding Sinon's rifle, and it's heaven ; she can cart it around in GGO because she's a computer avatar who works on stats and thus has sufficient points in strength to do so).

Now, the question is... do I want to be an ******* and bring in somebody with Eden's version of Broadcast? Or do I want to roll with someone who has other, more interesting powers on the lines of Labyrinth or Vista?

Orrrrrr maybe I could grab a CYOA character of mine. Maybe Lethe. Or Amaterasu. That would be hilarious .

Well, technically I've read up to the Lung Interlude, but know more than I should because of habitual self-spoiling. (Incidentally, I think I've seen you while lurking over at SB. Would this be accurate?)
I figured that the Thinker power is basically instant knowledge (including usage) of weapons that he picks up, possibly brought about due to having a weapon that could remove the Trigger-causing danger, but only if he could use it properly (and the whole second-gen cape thing might have played a part). I guess a very low level Brute aspect might be a good idea, but I made him a Dockworker so that he'd presumably be strong enough to wield big weapons. That all said, I just have to ask: What would you put Miss Militia's lack of a sleep requirement as classification-wise?
Finally, all of those potential capes sound terrifying (Unless the Eden!Broadcast person is more like Marceau!Taylor from Silencio than Jack Slash). Especially the ones named after mythology.

Yes, you have seen me; that Magery is indeed me.

So, you have something like Miss Militia's power (which I think gave her automatic proficiency with whatever weapon she decided to turn it into), except instead of creating the weapons for you, you have to get your hands on the weapon first? Not bad, especially with the Hectate; and it's nice and not-overpowered either. Until you get your hands on weapons with ridiculous special abilities and instantly become an expert with something like a sword that can cut a planet in half XD

I forgot the part about the Dockworker, my bad. That makes sense.

Miss Militia's lack of sleep requirement (and her perfect memory, for that matter) is ostensibly a Thinker power (they don't fit under any other category), though it's never given an actual classification. It'd put her at something like Thinker 1 or whatever, so they probably didn't bother to classify it officially (Skitter is also Thinker 1 or 2 because of her multi-tasking ability with her swarms, but nobody really bothers writing it down when compared with her other powers).

Heh; I've never kept up with Silencio. I know a little about Marceau, but no, my version of Eden's Broadcast shard would be more on the lines of Jack Slash, except it'd probably register itself as a Master power of the subconscious whisper type (like how Screamer used her power, except rather than faking it, it's actually that power) combined with the same danger sense Jack had.

Lethe is, indeed, terrifying. You'll understand why if you follow the link in my SB signature to the Worm Snippet of the same name =P

Okay, Lethe is absolutely terrifying . My guy wouldn't stand a chance. Unless, of course, he can use Tinkertech... Of course, there's also the question of how far his passenger's definition of "weapon" extends; for example, would a vehicle made for combat purposes be considered a weapon, or would it only be the guns/artillery/whatever that come with it?

Well, another note on Lethe: At least she isn't as bad as the ORT. (What is it? When you take the ORT, take out the technically-not-an-Endbringer-as-it's-really-the-Ultimate-One-of-Mercury bits, and cross it with a Weeping Angel, you get Night.)

Hmm... given shard restrictions and so on, it's probably likely that you have some arbitrary limit on what can be classified as a weapon; I'd probably make it similar to Miss Militia's, so something that makes common sense to be called a weapon (as in, I wouldn't say you'd be an expert in piloting a fighter jet, but if you got in one, you'd know instantly how to use all the missiles/guns/bombs it had on it). If you ever second triggered, expect that limit to be removed (I wouldn't be surprised if a shard of the nature you have was something like "Utility" or "Tools", something that made the entity an instant expert with anything it found or decided to use).

To this day, I'm still not actually sure if Dragon managed to kill Lethe. On the one hand, Dragon basically detonated a black hole in the centre of her chest; on the other, Lethe has Crawler's regeneration on steroids and all her powers scale to threat. It's my most popular snip, but I can't continue it because a) I don't actually know if I could and b) it would probably ruin the story anyway =P

ORT, yeah, no. Things on the level of the Crimson Moon would break basically everything's face in the Wormverse, up to and potentially including entities, depending on how well conceptual Marble Phantasms and suchlike stacked up against something larger than a galaxy (I think entities are that big normally? They're ridiculously large, at any rate).

Zeltretch versus an entity would be entertaining. I think he'd probably lose nowadays (since they can also do the whole "access all the realities" thing), but back when he had the necessary power to beat the Crimson Moon it would have made an interesting fight.
