I look towards the Shadowforger and notice that she and the prisoner are looking at each other like two wolves sizing each other up. Waiting to see who will make the first strike. However that strike may come from neither of them.
I jump and attempt to strike the Shadowforger however she quickly blocks this rather reckless attack. I use the momentum to catapult myself above the tips of her wings. I land rather awkwardly some distance away. It won't take her long to figure out I'm still not quite in fighting condition.
So it appears her advantage is my injury and my advantage the secrets of my new sword which would be in two if this was any normal sword. But it seems this isn't any normal sword. My sword starts to spark wildly as "Thunderstruck-AC DC" begins to play in the background.
I instinctively point it up into the sky causing a bolt of lightning then shoots into the sky. Some clouds then form in the sky and a bolt of lightning comes crashing down from the heavens into the Shadowforger with the force to shatter a mountain into nothing more than dust.

One would use such an attack to crack a enemy fortress wide open or to knock a titan off balance. However this attack is raining down upon the Shadowforger. Although I don't expect this to kill the Shadowforger. No doubt she'd find a way to survive and boy will she be mad when she emerges. However this has bought me time to recover. How long remains to be seen.
So to bide even more time I create at least twenty clones. One would need to try hard to tell the difference between them and me. Of course this will only last so long. Now is time to work out a new plan of attack.
(Just trying out some new ideas so excuse the rough edges.
And yes my new sword is pretty much indestructible.)

Nobody got pulled through the portal; Wayne specifically said he just left it open so that anyone else who wanted to join in didn't find themselves completely excluded. Natasha just walked through it to get there, and so did Ash*in and the prisoner. I don't exactly know how Duncan or Pyro (the character) got there; the former seemed to just be there when Natasha attacked, and, as I said earlier, I'm confused about the latter.

You were all still in the fight - or, at least, Ash*in joined it by going through the portal (and actively attacking Natasha on two separate occasions), as did Duncan when he posted in response to Natasha's thrown sword attack and Eno's momentary overpowering.

As for the wall, there are plenty of walls in the Tower (the Destiny-based setting Wayne brought us to; I even showed Eno a screenshot of what the Tower's plaza looked like to help him figure out where we were and what his surroundings were like).

If you want advice for dealing with that--from someone who had to figure it out himself a fair few years ago--the best way to do it is just to read every post. More than once. Sounds stupid, and you probably do it already, but you'd be surprised by what people miss when they skim over someone's post.
As well as that, it helps you get a feel for how people write. Everyone has a different style, and you can usually pick it from a few sentences even if you're confused by the lack of avatars.
For instance:
Wayne and I are both writing in second person, but he uses underlines and less hyperbole than I do - especially when writing Natasha, when I use a lot of celestial imagery, as opposed to his more technological/science-based descriptions.
Eno's style is similar to mine, but he's less flashy in his word choice, and is using third person.
You and Duncan write fairly similarly, except he doesn't have an avatar and you do.
Ash also has an avatar.
