I scowl as Legion dispatches the monk.
Legion: Is there a problem?
Me: He could have easily been taken care of without any killing.
Legion shrugs as I pull a small clay jar and brush from the recesses of my cloak. I crouch down to carefully collect the ashes, while continuing the conversation.
Me: Your name’s…Legion, right? I don’t think we’ve been introduced yet. Anyway, if the others need us they have a means of summoning us. I can only stay here for about half an hour though, then the spell will wear off and I’ll have to go on foot…
I show Legion the small crystal.
Legion: You have a portal spell that becomes useless after half an hour?
Me: …I’m still working on that one. I don’t suppose that monk’s memories have any information about this place? Any other prisoners, or maybe a map or something we could find that might help us? If not, I can get us both to the rest of the party now.
(I don’t know whether Mad Guy had plans for what was in the monastery. If he didn’t then I’m happy to come up with something-or if you prefer, Legion and I can join the battle.
Also, I don’t know too much about Legion’s character but I imagine he would find the spell my character’s using unimpressive. I hope I haven’t written something really out of character)
Also, out of nowhere penguins drop onto Haxzell's head
