Dalnius sighed, his body was tired of lying on the hard castle floor. "Uncomfortable are we?" The shadowy woman snapped her fingers and the tiled floor was replaced by black, sharp glittering gravel. Dalnius was standing. "How about now?" Nyx snapped her fingers; a bolt of black lightning shot out and struck Dalnius, causing him to collapse onto the ground, the gravel dug into his skin through his clothes. Dalnius blinked back tears.
He gazed blurry eyed at the roof above; It contained the night sky, the moon hung from the roof like a chandelier.
He sent out a message to Annie, knowing that Nyx would intercept and hear it. He hoped that Annie had heard of an Acrostic.

Ill tidings brought slowly by shadows to our domain. Stay safe.

Nyx walked over to an elf who was manacled to the wall. "I saw one of your kind in this mans mind. Who is Annie?" The Elf flinched and turned away, before turning into ash at Nyx's command. "Useless." She muttered, and then walked to the next Elf who had been imprisoned.
Dalnius had not seen the immolation of the elf, he was barely awake.
The villainess interrogated several more elves - and summarily disintegrated them all - before a Darkling flew in the window, holding a green winged man in its talons. "Ah, the minion of a God." She said smiling sardonically. "And what deity to you serve?"
Action smiled back, and said harshly. "I would rather be vanquished than tell you of anything."

Just the next rise, then you can rest. Rue thought this to herself. She continued running, leaves swam by. SNAP! Rue was flung upside down, she was lifted up by vine-rope, but her head still lay against the ground, Rue being far taller than most from this world. Rue had been caught in one of Kairi's traps.
