Hey Mippow. No worries. Life gets to me too. I’m just glad I have finished your story a long time ago because I certainly wouldn’t have time now!
I’m glad you were happy with the last two chapters (I suppose, Chapter five and the epilogue?). How was the ending unexpected, I wonder? What did you have in mind? I have planted little clues before, of course, the writing of that story etc. Still, I’m interested in how you would have wanted it to end :)
The last chapters had to be focused on Edward because he was our ‘tragic hero’ as such. He was the one onto which misfortune was dealt, and he was the one that was transformed. I hope it made up for the ‘lack of Edward’ in the earlier chapters, because if I talked about Edward too much there, readers would find Ronny less believable and less sympathetic. So I (or rather, Ronny) made the choice of letting the reader understand absolutely what is in Ronny’s mind first, and then shift to the victim on the other side.
The part? Which part made me enemies? :P . Actually, most of them remained cordial with me, although they absolutely hated those bits. I can sort of hide behind Ronny who was the author who was guessing at what was in Edward’s mind. The parts that I felt I would have made enemies might have been the epilogue where priests had to be dispersed by arrows. And yes, you just let everybody knew that you had a sadistic side O_o
Actually, I do too, but it’s more about inflicting pain on my characters. Like my other story, The Priceless, this story is about ‘losers’. I’ve always been fascinated by the whole subject of children’s contest – hey, I win! We are winners, yayyyyyyyyyyyy – but what become of those who lost?

"Edward was on a penguin expedition, the King claimed, and would not return until further notice."
Seriously, penguin expedition? I found it rather amusing, but it doesn't fit at all in the very serious nature of the chapter.
---Yes, PENGUINS! It was an amusing touch, and intended. Just like the beginning of chapter 4 ‘Meat’ was ripped from the movie Dragonheart. It’s supposed to be a kind of ridiculous expression with a perverse nature.
"Then he has made his mind up about Ronny, and nothing could be changed. Edward has had five years to make up his mind, so why did Ronny believe he could change everything in a magical moment?"
Are the tenses supposed to be this way?
--Not entirely sure. I’ll ask someone.
I’m glad you’re entertained, Mippow. I really want this story to be rewarding for those hard works in the first few chapters, which was a slow-burn to post. I’m also glad you got around to finish it, and will award you with points on TNG.
