Wow. Just wow.

Well, I wish I could give a lengthy review, but I must keep it as you did for me if this is an Excellence Awards prospect. Let me just say that I loved the style of the metre (very unique), and I especially loved the message.

And in my infinite forgetfulness, I neglected to properly thank you for the compliment you paid me on my thread the other day. Thanks; it really meant a lot coming from such a poet as yourself. :)

:) Thank you so much Yam, feedback like this is the fuel that helps me carry on writing. I was watching a History of Art programme a while ago, and it gave me a notion that forever the colour blue has been mystical and bright, yet unreachable. You try to touch the sky and fail, you go out to the beach and see the blue horizon, yet when you swim out the water is grey or transparent. I am also glad you got the real message from the poem.

Alright, I've just spent my last idea from my notebook for a poem for the EA: "Capulet". I would be extremely grateful for some feedback. Phew, that was my longest poem yet.

Thank you Yam! I tried to do a modern twist to Romeo and Juliet, but keeping the unjust society which is still present today. I'm glad you picked it up!

Coincidentally, new poem. Could do with some more readers if I'm honest, although I don't need an audience to write, it sure does help. I'm grateful for your presence though Yam.

It's very refreshing to read a collections of poems which deal with such breadth of subject matter, utilising different poetic styles of meter and rhyme. I'm also a fan of the language that you use- at times somewhat obscure.

My favourites (other than your present competition entry) are "The Irony of Lapis Lazuli" and "Capulet". I also like the reference in Lapis Lazuli to the colour being so out of reach. No doubt you know that the oil colour Lapis Lazuli was in the Middle Ages more expensive than gold given that it could only be obtained from a particular region of Italy- in a lake I seem to recall? I thought the use of this as a title and overall theme of this was first class and I immensely enjoyed reading the same!

I'll be popping back to re-read a few more of your poems too.

As for my poetry? I don't maintain a central thread of the same presently on the forums having only recently returned to Runescape, and typically my poetry is light hearted, usually to be found bumping the odd thread in the Events forums. I tend to write more serious forms of poetry for my own entertainment and I'm never satisfied by the end result- however I might post a few of them together soon if time permits.

Keep on writing and I'll definitely keep on reading :)

I find myself thanking you again Amoraten! New readers and compliments on here make me so happy it's a little sad.

It is true that some of the language I use is obscure, and some would say that it is annoying. I'm a lover of words, and my favourite ones are often times the most obscure. Sometimes I like a word so much, whether it be the meaning or even the sound of it, I mould a poem around that word. Eccentric, but exciting.

Lapis Lazuli has a fascinating history and a massive influence on western culture, I had to write about it. I believe some Afghan or Persian merchants travelled from the Middle East to Venice to trade a single rock of it - a testament to how valuable it was, considering how long it must have taken them. I think from what I researched, is that the rock is from a single valley in Afghanistan. I'm glad you liked it and understood!

If you ever do create a poetry thread, I'd be thrilled to read some.
