The next day, I was still in the mood for talking about the news. The teacher restricted use from talking about it, so we just moved on in our day.
I got back home, and the police were there, investigating I guessed.
"No officer, we'd never..."
"That's all, we'll be checking tomorrow," said the officer.
"Dad, what were they doing in our house?" I asked.
"Son...it's complicated," He replied.
I thought he was accused for a small crime at first, but he seemed more worried than he would be.
"My oh my, from dragons to spies, maybe..."
"Mayella, no," my dad interrupted, "Hurricaneri*'s here."
"Dad, call me Hurr, I'm only four," I protested.
He smiled and said, "Maybe when you’re a little bit older, say...six okay?"
"Okay," I replied.
It was anyway my birthday in a few more days, so I'd thought I didn't have to worry. I just went on outside to see my friends.
"Did ya hear? Zamorakian spies are around," said Knight.
"Come on guys, Zamorak trying to send spies? We'd kick their hinny," said Anna.
"Anna, stop being so optimistic, it's getting annoying," said Vince.
I had to admit, it was getting annoying. I didn't see any red coats or any dragon in the first place...I was naive for my age.
"It's getting late. Hey Hurr, wanna come over my house for the weekend?" asked Kung.
"Okay," I replied.
The night sky seemed beautiful, full of stars, a bright moon; I was getting loopy but then was pulled back by Kung when he led me back to his house.
"When is the dragon coming?" I asked.
"I don't know Hurr, I don't wanna talk about it anymore, it's scaring me," he replied.
"Me too, can I have some of your mother's sandwiches when we get back? You know I love them!" I asked.
"I'll see, I'm hungry too," he replied.
As we were walking, I heard footsteps behind us. I turned around and saw nobody. Then I cried, "Chicken!"
No one came.
"Big fat hen!"
Still, no one came.
"Are you being funny Hurr?" Kung asked.
I didn't feel like answering.
