The Man in Pink walked off and it was just me and the blue robed man.
"Excuse me sir, do you know where I can find 'The Duke'?" I asked.
"Why, your looking right at him, if you came to get more on these events then you're out of luck kid," he replied.
"Actually, I think I just came from that island, a mage told me to give you this," I handed the note to him.
He studied it as if it was a fan letter, then his expression grew into surprise.
"I...I see you've already been through much, Hurricaneria, you need to be under my supervision from now on," he spoke, then added, "Let my servant fix you up a bedroom, you'll be here for the rest of your youth."
I must have looked skeptic because he sighed and walked off as if he couldn't succeed.
I went to him and asked "Mr. Duke sir?"
"Please, call me Frank, Hurricaneria,"
"Okay, well Frank, my parents...they..." he interrupted me.
"I know, I saw in that note you gave me, I don't think those mages will survive either," he said.
I became shocked and cried, "What about my friends? I want to see them again! I want to..."
"Hurricaneria, whipe your tears, and listen," he began explaining, "I'm sorry to say this, but your friends are dead, you're the only survivor out there. If you want to stay here and not even go out in the daylight again, that's fine, but you're going to be my godson, it was promised when..." he stopped, then said, "when your brother, Sirius, was born, your father, Jack, and I were good friends in out youth."
"You knew my father?" I asked.
"Of course, we got in trouble lots of times; when he met your mother, it was all downhill from there, I was the only one pranking anymore...I still miss those good times," he began to shed a tear, "Well, anything can happen to your friends over the years right? Anyway, go to bed, I'll get your new bed cloths."
I was very tired from all the drama anyway, I knew I was going to have nightmares that night, but it got better over the years, I guess people do change..
