"I am his, umm.... cleaning lady," she told him, thinking fast. "I'm very sorry but he's out right now, can I take a message?"
"I am sorry but I would like to talk to him myself; do you have any idea as to when he'll be back?"
"In a few days he said," Teegan responded, remembering the letter. However the stranger still stood on the doorstep, and didn't look like going anytime soon.
"Come in and sit down," said Teegan, thinking of what a cleaning lady would do if she were here. "Sit down and have some tea."
"Why thank you," said the man, "I think I will."
"OK," Teegan gulped, trying to think of where Kerr would keep the tea things, and wondering if Kerr even drank tea, and thinking about Taena still under the bed.
Teegan hoped the man would leave soon so they might get back to work.
