After a hard journey the sisters arrived at Edgeville, both wearing their custom made suits of armor:
Teegan was arrayed in a very strong armor made of glimmering golden metal wire that seemed to have been woven like thread into a durable metal cloth. It was cut into a shirt with sleeves down to her elbows for freedom of movement, and a skirt that came down to her knees. Tied about the waist of this armor was a bright red belt, and in a gold-embroidered leather sheath by her side, her gold hilted dragon dagger.
Taena looked about the same, except that her armor was silver, she had on a blue belt and her dragon dagger was silver hilted in a silver-embroidered leather sheath.
Both girls walked warily up to Kerr's scarred wooden door.
"*err! are you there? Come out, we need to talk to you!" said Taena, pounding on the door with one gloved fist.
The old wooden shack remained silent, only a sick-looking oak tree by the door whistling in the wind.
"Maybe he's not home?" asked Teegan, voice trembling a little.
"Well!" Taena said, twisting the stunted grass around with her heel, "if he won't come out, then I'm going in to look for him!"
