"Alright," she said, being in no place to argue.
She decided to change the subject.
"Where did Taena go?"
"She went up one of the tunnels to find water and see if there is an exit to this place."
Sukrae looked down at Teegan's face, still white from losing all that blood, but pretty darn cute anyway; she was nice, and kind, and she cared about others, and.... Suddenly he relized that she was talking.
"Umm, what was that again?" he asked her,
"I was saying, thank you very much for staying here with me, instead of going with Taena." She smiled up at him, amber eyes sparkling.
He liked her, actually he liked her quite a lot, actually.... He bent down and kissed her, very gently, on the lips.
"You really don't think I'd have left you," he murmured, kissing her again and, with the small strength she had left, she put her arm over him and held him close.
"I wouldn't leave you either," she whispered. They sat there, together, for who knows how long, not paying attention to anything else.
That is, until a loud clang shattered the silence, and they both jumped (Teegan banging her head painfully against the rock.)
"I think I found the way," Taena anounced with a grin, putting down the stone she had hit the wall with. "You two wanna stop making out and come with me?"
"Um yeah," Sukrae said, slightly guiltily.
