Brushing off the dust and cobwebs, I planted my vexillum outside the Edgeville bank and stood next to it with my Octopus. I had a couple passing comments about it, and one player even told me I looked like I was from Pokemon! I waited quite a while, and finally, I teleported to Daemonheim. SoulRavager had said he was done, so he should be coming out soon, right?
I waited for some time, until I saw that he had logged out. I knew that he wouldn't have just logged out without saying something, so I waited patiently, and sure enough, five minutes later, he logged back on. It was time to do Floor 35!
We made progress through the dungeon really fast, until we came to the boss: Bal'Lak the Pummeller. It's official now: I hate all the demon bosses. This boss was so difficult, so frustrating... It's a wonder that I'm really into Dungeoneering. He repeatedly disabled my prayer, and hit massive damage, all the while boosting his own Defence. SoulRavager and I teleported out constantly. At one point, I teleported out with five lifepoints to spare!
Oh yes, I hated this thing. I died more than twice on him, and when he finally died, I recieved a Primal Warhammer! Too bad I can't use it
That dungeon ended, and I unlocked floor 36; My very first Occult Floor! I couldn't wait to see the new theme and to get those new music tracks. We entered floor 36.
I was quite surprised by how purple it was! The 'water' (if you can call it that) was a filthy dark violet, and the rugs, the walls and tapestries were all a velvety purple. The best part was the music though. It had a certain sinister tone to it, hinting at some unkown malevolence. And right when you entered a fight, that creepy undertone would pick up its pace, until the combat ended. Then, it would fade into the background again.
There was whispering too. I think that added that extra hint of creepiness to it. The whole mysterious atmosphere or Daemonheim is one of my favourite parts about it!
