Deadliest Catch: I foresaw the name of this quest before it was released! While the Guaranteed Content Poll was running, there was a picture of the Giant Fish (Thallasus) in a Jagex Moderator's Forum thread. If you right-clicked this image and went to Properties, it said Deadliest Catch right there! Back to the quest though. Honestly, I don't ever think it's a bad thing when Jagex releases a new quest. They always give players something new to do, and add to the total Runescape content. New quests? Bring them on!
Well that's about it for today! I hope you enjoyed it!
Good night!

Hey everyone!
I didn't get much of a chance to play today, but I did get to finish off "Wanted!". During this quest, I was running from the Ectfuntus to Canifis when ForeverMandy, an Administrator from Mining Golds PMed me, asking if I would go to her 99 Herblore party. Well I wasn't going to miss that! They were going to meet at the Herblore Cape seller in Taverly on World 88.
I swutched worlds and teleported to Falador, from which I ran to Taverly. There were quite a few people there from my clan; 0Kiwigirl0 and Apu to name a few. We waited for the last person to arrive, and then the festivities started. She created her last potion and the fireworks sounded. I pressed enter and my whole 'spammy' message came up, along with everyone elses. It was quite a sight! She bought her cape, which triggered more messages. I started doing random emotes for some reason...
After most people had left, I bade her a last congrautalations and teleported to the Ectofuntus again. After a while, I finally finished the "Wanted!" quest. I only have to do "The Slug Menace" now to unlock that Proselyte Armour!
And that's basically all I did today. I'm usually really busy on Thursdays, so I can't play Runescape too much.
Well, unfortunately that's all for today
Good night!

Hey everyone!
I had a HUGE project due for school, so I didn't really get a chance to play too much.
I did, however get a chance to create the very first event within my Friend's Chat! When I had logged on, I was still in the west Falador Bank, with some quest items. I entered my Friend's Chat. There were a few people there, Gwir and Benjarmin being some of them. I chatted, and iPad Three PMed me. He told me that he really liked my blog, and that he was interested in joining my Friend's Chat. Well of course he was welcome! He joined, and after a while, more people joined. Lion0f Judah wanted to make an event, and after some time, we had enough people to do it.
We decided on the TzHaar Fight Pits. Among the people attending were Magical Zing, Gwir, Lion0f Judah, and myself. We all met at the Fight Pits on World 70.
Lion0f Judah entered the Waiting Room first, followed by Magical Zing. Then Gwir and I entered. For some reason, it only entered Lion0f Judah and Magical Zing, and not Gwir and I. I watched with a horrified fascination as Lion0f Judah hounded down Magical Zing, and hit him with a 270. Magical Zing was not a very high level, and Lion0f Judah is nearly maxed, so the poor guy didn't have much of a chance. After only a minute, Magical Zing had succumbed to Lion0f Judah's sword.
That round ended, and everyone entered the match this time. I had not only brought melee gear, but also runes and equipment for Entangle and Water Surge. The round began, and Lion0f Judah chased after me. I struck him with Entangle, pinning him to the ground. I started using Water Surge, but was only managing to hit every once and a while; He was using Deflect Magic. This was working well though. Gwir and Magical Zing were attacking Lion0f Judah, and because he was using Deflect Magic, he couldn't protect from melee.
Eventually, even through my prayers, Lion0f Judah killed me. I watched through the Looking Orb and watched the rest of the match unfold.

Magical Zing was the first to die, then Gwir followed suit. Lion0f Judah was too powerful; we needed backup. I called in Benjarmin from the Friend's Chat. He was going to come soon, so everyone restocked and entered another match. This time, I stayed with melee gear and instead of attacking Lion0f Judah, I started attacking his Unicorn. It was healing him frequently, so it was probably necessary to kill it first. Magical Zing had to leave, so it was up to Gwir to tank out Lion0f Judah's hits, while I took out his familiar. I killed it, but Lion0f Judah had planned for it. He summoned another one! By this time, Gwir had died, so I took out my Mage gear and tried to Entangle him. It didn't work; My spells continually splashed, and he was hitting me quite hard, even through my prayers. I died.
Benjarmin had come! Gwir left to restock, and another round started. Benjarmin, Lion0f Judah and me. It was pretty obvious that we were going to pile on Lion0f Judah, so Benjarmin started tanking his hits while I killed his Unicorns. Aftr killing the third, he decided to save his familiars for when he actually needed them. Soon, Benjarmin had fallen, and I tanked out Lion0f Judah's hits as best I could. While I was dying, I contacted Fire Typhoon, and invited him to come to the Fight Pits. I died soon after, and by the time I respawned in the Waiting Room, Gwir, Benjarmin and Fire Typhoon were waiting for us.
Everyone restocked, but Lion0f Judah had to leave. Another round started, and everyone piled onto Gwir. I used Entangle, and started using Water Surg on her, while Benjarmin and Fire Typhoon used their swords. After a while, Gwir came after me, and my Entangle started to splash. I started praying against Melee, but Gwir was near death. She had run out of food, and we were hitting ruthlessly. After a minute or so, she died. Who's turn was it to die next? Mine.
Benjarmin and Fire Typhoon turned on me, and they began to seriously hit through my prayer.

I switched into my melee gear and started attacking Benjarmin. I was managing to tank their hits quite well, and I was actually getting Benjarmin's health dangerously low. I had run out of food however, and I died soon after.
The next thing I knew, Benjarmin was standing next to me in the Waiting Room, and Fire Typhoon had won. No one had even attacked him!
That was enough Fight Pits for me, so I ran to the TzHaar bank while the others started one last round.
Well, that's it for today! I finished that HUGE project... But I still have another one to go! I hope you enjoyed the reading!
Good night!

Hey guys! Let me start with this: Today was so much fun!
I started off with going to do The Slug Menace quest. No spoilers, but there was this one part where I needed to visit the Mind Altar. For some strange reason, I thought that the mind Altar was North of the Monestary. I had teleported to Edgeville via Amulet of Glory and headed North-West, to where I thought the altar was. Well I reached the area where I thought it was, and you know what I saw? Grass, and a whole lot of it. Well I had no idea where to go. I had a Mind Talisman in my inventory, so I used the 'Locate' option. It told me to go North-West. I headed in that direction, scanning the mini-map as I went.
I went further, but still no altar. This talisman had to have been defective. I checked it again. Now it was telling me South-West! I was right on the edge of a cliff, so I had to run all the way down to the entrance of the Dwarven Mines and loop around to the west. I checked it again, and got North-West. It must have been above the Goblin Village! I ran in there, only to discover that the village was completely isolated. I checked the talisman again-- North-East. That sucked. The only way back onto that cliff was to run all the way around again. I noticed a trail leading up the cliff though. I followed it... and it led nowhere. Why would that even be there?
I headed back south, looped to the east and passed the Dwarven Mines again. This time, I stayed to the East and finally found the altar.
A while later, I finished The Slug Menace! Proselyte Armour, here I come! Before I could start Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf though, a Guest in Mining Golds wanted an invitation. He was in Lumbridge on a Free-To-Play world, so I used my Home Teleport and switched worlds.
I couldn't see him there, so I waited a while. The autotyper got annoying, so I reported him. Lion0f Judah PMed me, asking for a 97 Fletching assist. I would get to him after I invited this player.

A few minutes later, a player stood behind me, and called me "pimpin'". I guess I did look a little showy; I was wearing my Bandos Chestplate and Octopus! Well it turns out that this was actually the player who wanted the invitation, so I recruited him to Mining Golds and switched worlds over to Lion0f Judah. He was at Daemonheim, so I climbed up the stairs of Lumbridge Castle and got out my very own Ring of Kinship. I arrived at Daemonheim, and ran south towards the little green dot on my mini-map. I assisted him; 30,000 Fletching experience for me! I had a quest to do, so I teleported to the Grand Exchange and took the minecarts to Keldagrim.
Again, no spoilers, but I can say that it was a much easier and faster quest than I thought it would be. The reward was tons of experience in a load of skills. I actually got level 76 Strength from it! That boosted me to level 104 Combat! Well, I was ready to kick some Chaos Dwarf Cannoneer butt. I took another minecart to the Grand Exchange and bought some of that wickedly white Proselyte Armour. I put it on. I thought that it was going to make me look like a total noob, but it actually went quite nicely with my Fletching Cape and Saradomin Sword. I got some Prayer Potions and Monkfish and took the minecarts back to Keldagrim.
I entered the Chaos Battlefield for the first time, ready to camp for however long it took to get a Dragon Pickaxe. It didn't go quite as planned. You see, I thought that if I used Protect from Missiles, only the level 48 dwarves would be able to hit me. What I didn't know was that the Cannoneers switched attack methods depending on what Prayer you used. To make matters worse, I accidently attacked a Black Guard. This made both factions agressive to me. This was bad, real bad. Basically the whole cavern was attacking me! There were so many hitsplats that it formed a continous line downwards. Luckily, most of them were Blue Shields.
My food was rapidly being depleted though!

I had seriously misjudged the ratio of Prayer Potions to Monkfish needed. I had way to many potions! After only ten minutes, I left to restock and think of a new strategy. I started chatting with Labas Utak (formerly F1L1P1NO 1RL). I told him that I was camping out at the Chaos Dwarves, and to my surprise, he wanted to come with me!
If you've read this blog from the beginning, you may remember how I first met Labas Utak. Do you remember? I was killing Black Dragons, and he had come in, three hitting each one with his mighty blows.
Thinking about that, I could only chuckle about the poor fates of the many dwarves that were goind to die. He had never actually been to the Battlefield, so I told him to meet me at the Keldagrim Bank.
I waited for him, thinking about a strategy. I knew one thing for sure... Well three things, actually. Bring more Monkfish, a familiar jam-packed with food, and to stay at the back of the cavern. I got my supplies ready and waited for Labas Utak.
He came, and I escorted him to the Chaos Battlefields. I explained to him what the plan was, and we entered. We ran to the back of the cavern, where I turned on Protect from Missiles. We worked together for the most part. He had joined my Friend's Chat, and I had enabled LootShare. He seemed to be getting all the good drops! He deserved it though; He would kill two dwarves for every one I killed.
Labas Utak eventually decided that the extreme speed that we were killing these dwarves simply was not fast enough. He left to go get a cannon. I was left to fend for myself. Only a couple seconds later though, I was hit with the pirate Random Event.
I was scared. In every guide I had ever read, getting a random event in the Chaos Battlefields meant Death. I completed the puzzle and exited the area, my mouse hovering over where the Prayers Tab would be. The screen loaded, and... My Protect from Missiles was already on!

Well that was a relief! Labas Utak had gotten back with his Cannon while I had been gone, and the dwarves were dying with lightning speed. We actually didn't really get any good drops though... Labas Utak had gotten about 300 Hand Cannon Shot, and I had gotten 100. For some reason, Labas Utak seemed to be getting Cheese as a drop quite frequently...
We killed them for a while, and we ran out of food and potions. He was done, so he bade me farewell, and we both parted ways. He gave me 100 of his Cannon Shot, to make it an even 200-200. I ran out of the cavern and teleported to Varrck (Surprisingly, I didn't take the minecarts). I ran to the Grand Exchange and put up an offer for my Hand Cannon Shot and a ton of Muddy Keys I had gotten.
In my Clan Chat, there was a God Wars Dungeon event going on. It was at the Armadyl boss though, and I didn't have the required Ranged level to go even if I wanted to. The player xx-IP-man-xx was wondering what the God Wars Dungeon was, and for some reason, no one would explain it to him. They were too busy I guess. I was just standing at the Grand Exchange, so I told him to add me, and I would explain to him all about the God Wars Dungeon. I PMed him and started my mini-guide.
I explained the basics of it, from the general layout of the area, to how to get into the boss rooms, to strategies. He was pretty thankful for my mini-guide; That made me feel pretty nice. I felt like killing some more Chaos Dwarves... I tweaked the Prayer Potion to Monkfish ratio again, and headed off to Keldagrim via the minecarts (of course).
I was running to the bank to summon my familiar when Seriousruss, who was in my Friend's Chat, asked where I was going. I told him, and he wanted to come too! I told him to meet at the Keldagrim Bank. We were still on a Lootshare world, so there was no worry about that. I waited and waited and waited... What was taking him so long?

Well after a few eternities, he finally came. I gathered my items and off we went, to the Battlefields! We entered, and ran to the back of the cavern. Unfortunately, there was already a team of people there. I logged out to the lobby and switched to another LootShare world. That one had people as well, so I logged out again and went to a third one. This one was open, so I called Seriousruss in. We started killing them. It wasn't nearly as efficient as when Labas Utak was there, but hey: He was level 137.
Another player logged on, and we chatted with him. It was nearly dinner time for me, so after maybe twenty minutes, I exited the Battlefield and logged out.
I ran the the Keldagrim bank and restocked. I headed to the Battlefield once again. I was determined to get that Dragon Pickaxe! I killed loads of dwarves. You only had to hit one to get its drop, so there was actually quite a lot of strategy involved in killing them. By the time I had run out of food, the only decent drops I had gotten was a ton of Muddy Keys and 100 Hand Cannon Shot.
I restocked again, only to find out that I was quite low on Prayer Potions, not to mention Monkfish. I made a quick stop at the Grand Exchange and put in some orders. I got the Prayer Potions, so I made my way back to the Battlefield. I killed a ton more dwarves.
I was really getting into the groove! I was getting the drop for almost all the Cannoneers! The Proselyte Armour was working wonders as well; My Prayer Points had been dropping quite a lot slower than usual. More than once, I would notice my Prayer Points drop to 2 or 4, and I would quickly drink a potion. A few times, it had actually gotten to zero! Whenever this happened, I would quickly drink a Prayer Potion and turn on Protect from Missiles. On one of these occasions, a Cannoneer hit me with a 360!
This trip was pretty successful! I had gotten 200 Hand Cannon Shot, along with a Hand Cannon! I restocked and headed back to the Chaos Battlefield.
