"Do you have to be a downer on the group, get off your phone and join in!" Exclaimed James towards a particular member of the squad who had not unglued their eyes from their phone screen since they arrived. James shook his head and aimed his branch of wood from the forest at the fire they had built in the centre of the campsite. A group of fifteen teenagers aged 16-17 but all good friends from the same school and year group had abandoned their homes and parents for the night to enjoy the peace and tranquility of sunnymoor countryside.

An area of tall grass had been flattened to allow 6 or 7 tents to be arranged in almost a full circle around a central fire that had been created by the group from the stones (for borders) and firewood that could be commonly found in the woods they had pitched in.

On every side there were tall trees protecting them from the elements and also from the sights of people, and their site was near a freshwater stream, on one side the land sloped steeply towards the stream and on the other side the land inclined just as steeply towards the top of the narrow valley.

The group was hidden from the world for the night, and as they one by one dozed off to sleep, they knew little of what they would discover once they woke up.

-----

"Have you checked the farmhouse?"
"Yeah it's ruined and there's no sign of the family-"
"No-one's answering their phone!"
"James will be back soon from his venture to the village, don't worry."

The group had woken up to realise no member of family would get in contact, no lifts arrived to carry them home, no signs of life were seen at the farmhouse which had been inhabited the night before and the building looked damaged.

James clambered back down the slope and the member's of the group looked up hopefully but James looked distraught.

"Not a single person in the whole village, every car was smashed, doors broken and fires and... I don't know what's happened, there was at least a thousand people living there last night, now I can't see a single person and every single building is ruined without exception, someone call the police or something?" James did not bring good news to the camp. Several people attempted to call the emergency services, nothing happened.

-----

Days passed, the braver members of the group explored nearby towns villages and found the same scene every time: destruction of the buildings and no sign of people - dead or alive. They came to the realisation that somehow they were a sole group of survivors amongst tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands or millions or billions.

They established their campsite as their first base and started to plan out their futures, however saddening and difficult they may now be.

Summary

A group of 15 lucky teenagers chose a good night to go camping and avoided some kind of strange, instantaneous apocalypse. They must use their knowledge, wits and instinct to go from lost and lonely teenagers to 15 warriors and survivors.

The sunnymoor countryside area is a huge area of moorland and woodland in Northern England to explore and survive in, with a reservoir and several freshwater streams. There are nearby farmhouses and villages and towns are located 2 or 3 kilometers away.

There is no sign of what caused the overnight apocalypse, but there is no sign of life remaining. The answers to what happened remain to be discovered, but the answers are out there for those who search hard enough.

If you have the courage to survive, please submit a bio or non bio (found on the next post).

Name: James Peacey
Gender: M
Age: 17

Appearance: James is tall at 6 foot 2 inches, with a slim figure; therefore he's not extremely muscly but has enough meat on him to get by.

His hair is dark brown and shaved on the back and sides to a pretty short length, on top his hair was normally neatly "quiffed" with some hair product or another giving a shiny look but due to the lack of hair product available it is now almost always down and swept to the side. His eyes are the same brown as his hair and his skin tans lightly quite easily. His facial hair is non existent and grows at snail pace for someone his age.

James's attire is a pair of black and white Adidas suede trainers, some matte black slim jeans and a blue polo shirt with black trim around the collar and sleeve ends. In the past, all buttons would be done but for the purpose of comfort they are now usually undone. He brought a black, waterproof pullover cagoule as well, cool enough for summer evenings and warm enough for chilly autumn days, although without an extra layer it may be a bit cold during winter. You may think his attire is not exactly suited for camping and that is true, however he did not expect to be there for that long so did not come dressed perfectly for the situation.

Talents: Being stubborn and self confident means that on one hand, James can take the role of a leader and doesn't easily doubt himself; he strongly voices his opinions in debates. However, stubbornness is unattractive and/or annoying to many so his downfall is often being irritating and a little controlling. He does possess some common sense and decent fitness levels however so can quickly make decisions and doesn't falter at the thought of the upcoming physical activity, however he would eventually struggle with heavy weights.
History: -
Other: He is very musically talented at guitar of any kind, however his singing is pretty woeful.
