Oh, I know they're a buff. I didn't mean to imply that they were a bad thing for her at all. It was more a comment on how all the powers are strong against what she did have.

EDIT: A battle between shadowmancers would be...interesting, to say the least. My personal opinion is that nobody would actually see it happen, since it would happen entirely within the shadows themselves. I mean, whoever ejects the other is the winner. That's assuming both of them can actually merge with the shadows, though. I figure that it's not the most common talent.

And did the transfer into Chaos give her energy back? Her problem right now is that she put everything she had into the final strike on Ironwolf, so she doesn't have enough energy left to do anything but stay alive. Either way, I'm fine with it. She was supposed to be completely helpless after everything happened at the castle.

I think I'm also going to say that the life-drain touch she had is gone, since the interactions she can do with it - something I didn't even fully consider when I gave it to her; I just like the ability and the ramifications it can have on someone's mental state - are falling over the border into overpoweredness.

Oh OK, ha, that is kinda funny, it just happened.

In Chaos, Amelia will be blinded and debilitated for a while, but as a half-demon, within the presence of the Father, she will recover soon. She will still be able to use all her powers when she recovers, too.

I think the life-drain was a gift from the balbals? They'd be a one-off thing anyways. Also, summoning magic inside beings is not easy, as let's just say the soul is a natural defence against magic, and deters internal surges of magic.

It seems Annie will be RPing with Guthix now.

Well, given the amount of time that it would take everyone else to reach the coffin, she just might be able to stand by the time they all get involved. Good thing, too; it would be disappointing to see someone walk over and stab her in the back before she could get up.

Good, I agree with this completely (The part about summoning magic inside others, I mean). And yes, it was a balbal gift. The reason it's O* on her - and really only her, at least in terms of the PCs - is that something being a "on-touch" ability makes it inherently weaker than something you can do at range. Since Amelia's fusion with the shadows literally makes her one of them, though, as long as she can touch someone with a shadow - like shadow strands that people can pass through - she can drain their energy, meaning she has wide-area life-drain abilities that are nearly impossible to avoid. It's not exactly *P in many situations, but in a mass combat scenario the usefulness skyrockets.

I also agree with everything; if Farren and Annie take too long, Amelia can have a head-start into Chaos and things will be OK. And I figured summoning magic inside bodies as pretty overpowered, so my only excuse was to induce the soul as a defense deterring that from happening easily, but I suppose zombies, animate skeletons, and soulless beings have no defense to internal combustion of magic.

The Chaos is based on the Greek mythological form, a state of chaotic natural forces, that eventually settle down to create worlds. It should be a fun "level" to RP in, and maybe the course of the entire RP will change in it!

Oh, and I will be cutting grass later, so I will be adding to Gwen's storyline later today or tonight.

I would imagine that creatures who are animated would depend on the one summoning them. For example, should Amelia make constructs out of shadow - which I don't know yet if I want her to do - then it would probably be a fight between her and the person since she is still exerting a measure of control over the target. Skeletons and the like would probably be the same, but only if the person who re-animated them is actively keeping control. Otherwise there'd be nothing to fight against.

Oh, yeah, uber fun. Poor Amelia: she gets rid of the spirit, then ends up travelling to a place full of creatures like that.

I've just had a really cool idea for ABO.

What would happen if your race had the ability to instantly make perfect copies of itself? And, in a strange twist of fate, they always come to the conclusion that there could only be one. Would you ever use this ability? :P
