I've actually got a question about the coffin. Is it enclosed in fire-ice right now? As in, someone couldn't get into it? I can't remember if it was actually able to be climbed in or not.

Also, is the power in the coffin detectable to her? As in, is it something that she would recognize as a source of power that is sitting in the coffin of a recently-slain archdemon ?

The second question is probably more important for my overall decision, but both are relevant. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Ironwolf's sarcophagus would be safe to enter, as the magic was only coated on the outside. Since Ironwolf is dead, whatever magic is left would be gone now, but the mithril coffin can still resist the lava for a while, but will eventually melt in it after everyone's done.

Ironwolf's final words to Amelia are meant to remind her of that moment when she was at the coffin, so Amelia can remember it. As a demonic being, she can sense the soul inside the coffin, but it is not a soul of Ironwolf, it is another's soul. The war cleric would have purified the wrong soul had he reached the coffin, which would sap a lot of Ironwolf's power, but Farren took care of that.


Annie,
Annie and Amelia both killed Ironwolf and Atatos as the two Archdemons' souls merged and then were destroyed, so both the arch demons' powers will be with both the girls, but they must investigate the Vessel of the Ironwolf first. They will only have the remnants of the powers though.


I will be going downtown soon, so I won't be back for a few hours, possibly.

Yes, Annie's reincarnation consists of her body infused with Frozen Fire. The effects will wear off later, as Amelia may want to kill Annie, so the fight may not be over. If nothing else happens, Annie can sense the demonic source in Ironwolf's coffin underground. She can go there via entering the keep, going into the dungeons, entering the cave, and then going down the lava-streaked caves until she reaches the Chamber of the Ironwolf, a large underground chamber with lava here and there. Ironwolf's sarcophagus, her Vessel, is floating in a pool of lava down there, and is open. Some dwarfs also stumbled upon the coffin but Annie scared them away with a shadowy construct which may still be there.


oh, and I forgot to say, but Farren is currently fighting Inquisitional soldiers in the dungeon. Annie and Amelia will stumble upon him as they go.


Westenev, should I wait for you to continue Gwen's quest how you wish, or should I add to it?

I sincerely hope that whatever is there gives Amelia enough energy to move, and that she doesn't need to be fully conscious in order to do something with it, because she's going to die otherwise. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
