So this is why you went on a spree of anti-magic threads?
The constant complaining about how 90% of the characters on every fantasy thread were mages in an environment where magic was supposed to be rare, and how magic users were almost always overpowered compared to non-magic users, didn't clue you in?

History and politics in a nutshell: Everyone looking back on and judging your decisions, their criticisms based almost entirely on hindsight.
It is also a basis of my frustration. You cannot know what I went through. Besides, in the era that thread took place in, marrying off a 14 year old was not uncommon. I mention that because I got so much **** for that and no one EVEN KNEW HOW OLD SHE WAS BEFOREHAND OH MY GOD GUYS I WOULDN'T HAVE DONE IT IF I'D HAVE KNOWN
To be fair, the anti-mage or badass muggle is a staple in most magical or supernatural themes. Nobody complains about the rigged superpowered lottery in settings like the DC universe - the Arrow can fight the Flash on equal footing, and the Batman can take down
Superman

Even if you had known, regardless of age you were still selling a close family member (who was accustomed to a lavish life of wealth and luxury) to a bunch of tent-dwelling savages.
Honestly though, I think all those people were just pretending to be disgusted. They knew you didn't know and just wanted to make you frustrated.

Yes, true, but even that wasn't unheard of. Means to an end, one might say. It's an upsetting one, but for a strong if not honorable goal. And I know that... I've known you losers way too long to think it would be anything else.

Maybe I'll just make a fantasy thread where all mages are locked away in towers, and if they start acting up we can get some religious crusaders hopped up on magic-negating steroids to genocide the entire tower.
